My server suggested that Bulldog was "kinda like Budweiser." I've heard that one before. But this time they weren't kidding. Bulldog is an ale, but is brewed for Gonzaga fans accustomed to thin, fizzy lagers. The beer is exceptionally pale yellow with yeasted tang and firm bittering. Its lack of carbonation is a notable detraction.

Bulldog is otherwise crisp, light, citric, and functional though dull. Given the limitations of its design, it's nearly admirable and might serve well enough as an unobtrusive table beer over lunch. (536 characters)
