Pours with a brilliantly clear, bright gold color. It is topped by a frothy, initially three finger thick, pale, off-white colored head that leaves some lacing patterns on the glass as it subsides. The aroma smells of sweet, grainy malt and thin spicy hops. This smells like a macro lager, though with a bit more oomph; the hops are subtle with the focus on simple grain bill.

Dry and herbal from the first taste. There are more hops here in the taste, which really helps to hide the sweet graininess from the aroma. Still the beer seems a bit lacking. It does have a nice hop bite to it, but the bitterness almost seems too much for the thin palate. I am not sure what I don't like about this beer. It is all malt, but still does not have that rich maltiness that a good Pilsner needs, perhaps a decoction mash is needed or some continental Pilsner malt. Certainly some more hop character would be welcome as well. It is light and refreshing and I do like the interplay between sweet grain and lightly spicy hops.

Pours a clear golden yellow beer with a good white head.

Smell is sweet and malty with a bit of hay and grass in the scent. Hops make an appearance as a lemony citrus scent and a bit of floral smell.

Taste is sweet and malty with a good Euro-lager grassiness. There is a fairly strong flavor of caramel and caramelized sugars. Good but not over done herbal hop bitterness in the finish. Somewhat lemony in flavor but I keep noticing the caramelized sugars in this one.

Mouthfeel is OK.

Easy to drink but the sweetness bugs me a bit. Not a bad beer and a good one from Mexico, if you see this try it.

Pours a golden color with foamy head; Smells like corn and malt; Taste is crisp; Some carbonation and Very, very drinkable.

I enjoyed it listening very good music in Bajaprog 2006 in Mexicali.

I am going to get more TJ beer very soon; I can´t wait for a session beer.

First, a couple of observations here:

One.- It's ABV is 4.8, according to the label.
Two.- I don't think it's an American All Malt lager. In my humble opinion this is more a Czech style lager.

With this beer the Monterrey BAs begin a small BIF variation experiment. Instead of trading between fellow BAs, we buy beers by the case and have them shipped by freight trailers to us!

Let's hope this goes on.

---

Pours a light golden brew, with a nice white one inch short lived head; decent lacing.

It's smell is of malts, faint though.

Taste is crisp, just as a lager is supposed to be.

Mouthfeel is buttery, with a mildly dry and bitter finish. Earth hop aftertaste.

I might have this one again, of course if I still can put my hands on it.

¡Salud!

12oz brown bottle. Pours a beautiful crystal clear bright golden beer, topped with a pure white snapping head that create a thin wispy lace.

Clean aroma, notes of metallic and subtle aromatic hops.

Crisp and lively mouthfeel with a fizzy carbonation kick – refreshing. Even bodied with a firm water feel. Sweetness is light, and dextriny, with hints of grain and dough. Quick flash of a citric and salty hop bitterness flushes to palate with a seltzer-like taste and makes way for a light bready finish. Leaves the palate bone-dry and more-ish, but the finish is hard to shake.

Extremely basic, and not half bad. Up to par with, if not better than, some of the better Mexican imports.

Presentation: 12 oz bottle with no freshness date to be found.

Appearance: Slim bubbly lace, nice clarity from the pale golden brew.

Smell: Doughy malt aroma, yeast and husk in the back.

Taste & Mouth Feel: Semi-crisp and slick in the moderate body. Odd sweetness upfront, malt husk coupled with a slight hop bitterness hit middle to end. Dry finish with an odd grainy dextrin flavor.

Drinkability & Notes: Half decent at best, clean up the malt profile and tighten the hops a bit and this would be a good brew.
