L: Pours hazy straw gold under a 1” white foam cap that quickly collapses to a thin film that produces very little lace. S: clove on the nose with some banana T: The palate could be a sign of age with thin, muted wheat flavors, stale bread, some lemon, banana and clove with hints of wet cardboard and a tart finish. F: Creamy, medium light body, above average fizzy carbonation. O: This beer gives me a headache. (415 characters)

Look; pours cloudy golden colour, head is good stocks around shortly though. Plenty of carbonation, loads of bubbles rising from the bottom.

Smell ; lovely distinct yeasty Smell of Weizen with a light fresh note of citrus.

Taste ; a lot more crisp and fresh than a usual Weizen I've drank, plesent refreshing, great on a summer day, light citrus notes

Feel ; thick and tasteful, really nice, goes down smooth with a crisp aftertaste, sits heavy in the gut though.

Overall really impressed by this lituania beer, I will be buying more! (539 characters)

Cloudy orange coloucir. Beaautiful big head with great retention. Very carbonated.

Bready yeast aroma. Orange and spices also make themselves know. Actually reminds me of a Belgian tripel in aroma!

The tasteof this wheat beer is very impressive. Bready yeastiness udnerpins orange zest and herbal spiciness. Very full flavoured with a very vibrant mouthfeel cleansing the palate after each sip.

Overall, a surprisingly tasty wheat beer. I will have to compare this to Weihenstephaner hefe which I haven't had in while. From my memeory this is every bit as good!

500mL bottle, some question to whether it's a German Hefeweizen vs a Belgian Witbier according to the reviews on BA
A - clouded yellow-orange body with a tall creamy white head that holds decent retention
S - bready yeast, wheat, spice, orange and banana seem to be in the nose, seems more like peppery coriander than clove for aroma
T - tastes are a bit muddled; wheat is prominent, yeast is bready and slightly nutty, orange and lemon give it some citric notes, banana esters come through more as it warms, clove and pepper in there too, mildly earthy hop presence
M - creamy and smooth, highly carbonated, finishes crisp and peppery
O - the brewer's website seems to indicate it's a German Hefeweizen, especially with the traditional Hefeweizen glassware and recommending to put a lemon slice in it (as some like to do). To me it seems to be a German Hefeweizen as well, but is a bit of a Witbier hybrid with the orange and coriander(ish) peppery notes. Either way, it's ok, but I wouldn't get it again. (1,006 characters)

have not had much (or any) experience with lithuanian beer, so its cool to stumble upon this one. i have been largely unimpressed with most of what i have had from eastern europe, so its awesome that this one is as good as it is. the leader of the pack as far as i am concerned. its a hazy pale beer with a tall lasting white head, looks nice in the glass. the last few drops from the bottle are all yeast. it smells and tastes like wit, but it doesnt have that orange coriander thing going on quite as intensely. its more about the grain and the yeast, which is what i like. i get a slight banana aromatic, and a fresh baked crackery flavor from the yeast, way less fruity than the normal belgian stuff. it must have been fermented pretty cool too, it has that baltic thing going on, making it extremely refreshing. lemon flavor without the acidity, fresh wheaty, and really clean on the back end. its hyper carbonated, and still a little creamy, making the mouthfeel one of its best features. i think its awesome that this beer is so cheap and good, it excites me to try more of their stuff, as this is an entire league better than most of the other beer i have had from this part of the world. great take on the style. (1,221 characters)

This is a phenomenal wheat beer. My amateur palate ranks it with any single fermentation Reinheitsgebot wheat beer. Unfiltered, it may not contain the same sediment as a Weinstephan or Franziskan, but it's up there. Great flavor, heavy palate, nose, cloudy light. Flavor is a bit sweet, but tolerable. (301 characters)

Appearance - Pours a hazy, dull orange with a white head that fizzes away almost as quickly as it's poured, leaving behind a thin, broken layer of suds and a thin ring around the edge. Small, spotty lacing with poor stick.

Smell - Yeasty bubblegum and banana with hints of clove.

Taste - Follows the nose. Yeasty character that hits on predominant banana and bubblegum flavors. Faint clove spice.

Mouthfeel - Light, watery body with low carbonation. Smooth and drinkable in the least, but easily the weakest aspect of this brew.

Overall - The label might say White, but this is a classic hefeweizen through and through, and a fair one at that. (647 characters)

This beer is from Lithuania. As a Lithuanian i strongly can say this beer is not that good, but it's average. The brewerie which makes this beer is the biggest and most massive brewery in Lithuania. They don't really pay attention to the beer quality anymore. There are their new small brewerie which makes experimental beer (thank god) and their wheat beer is really amazing. I will review it later. (400 characters)

A: The beer is quite hazy light yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with an eighth of a finger high bright white head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of bananas are present in the nose along with notes of wheat and hints of orange peels and lemon citrus.
T: Like the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of bananas and has notes of wheat plus slight bits of sweetness. Only faint bits of spices are perceptible.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: To me, this beer seems to me more like it's a hefeweizen compared to a witbier. I wouldn't consider this to be refreshing, but it's quite easy to drink. (741 characters)

A - Very pale and cloudy
S - Fruity smell
T - Tastes fruity, just like the smell
M - In the mouth has a milky texture, not very сarbonated.
O - I guess Hefeweizens are not my favorite style of beer, I prefer blacks stronger ones, but this one was ok. (251 characters)

Svyturys.

Soft hazy yellow color with a rigorous visible carbonation. Head, meager but retained at a short height.

Musty and wheaty with a tang and light citrus. A little stanky with age, as the malt composition is thinner and falling apart.

Harshly wheaty with a papery tang. Lemon is very light and probably has been reduced. Light caramel syrup taints the crispness. Not much left.

Crackling medium carbonation. Medium-light body with no real fascination.

Boo-hoo to this poor showing. Not after two delicious wittes already tonight. (541 characters)

Pours a murky light yellow-orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Thin rings and dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, yeast, and some earthy, spice-like aromas. Taste is much the same with a slightly tart flavor on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp but thin bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is definitely drinkable with a slightly sour aspect that is somewhat refreshing, intended or not. (600 characters)

Never saw this beer at the store until a stranger suggested it and at $2 a bottle I figured what the hell. Pours a hazy somewhat clear straw color. Small white head fizzes out leaving no trace of it ever being there. Smells and tastes of wheat (go figure) with some lemon, grapefruit and orange suppplying a helping hand. The fruits give this a touch of sourness that isn't off putting but doesn't quite seem like it belongs either. Mouthfeel is kinda thin and almost flat, finishes clean with no detectable hop presence. Not the best wheat beer in the world and far from the worse. Easy to drink and non offensive. I would say it was worth the $2. (648 characters)

Into a weizen glass. Two fingers of head, nice retention. Lots of bubbles in the hazy, dark straw colored body.
Great smell of lemon, orange zest, banana and grapefruit.
Nice fizzy texture, a dry and mild bitter taste. Pleasant and simple.
Light to medium body, moderate carbonation.
An excellent wit. (301 characters)

500 mL Eastern European style bottle,

A: Pours a super hazy goldenrod with a nice medium white head. Very light lace. Unfiltered look for sure.

S: Real nice nose of wheat and orange. Very inviting, has a bit of a pasta flair.

T: Orange and some sweet lemon, great citrus play in the mid-palate. Nice tart finish, some minor acid in the finish. Wheat flavour is an undercurrent throughout.

M: Light-bodied, crisp carbonation. Acidic in the finish, with a nice long finish for the style.

O: This is a pretty darn good witbier. I wasn't expecting that much, but this is a fun beer to drink. An easy pickup again. (614 characters)

Pours from the 16.9 oz. bottle a very cloudy, opaque yellowish color with a bright white, rocky 2 finger + head that settles down by half. It's totally impossible to detect any carbonation in the thick cloudiness. Aroma is a beautiful banana scent with perhaps a hint of lemon/orange peel. 1st sip brings a nice soft flavor of banana, citrus, doughy yeast, a hint of peppery spice. The mouthfeel is very lively and prickly from all that carbonation that was hidden in the haze. The flavors are kind of subdued, if they were a tad more bold and assertive this would be an excellent beer. Overall, it's still very good, a nice surprising pickup. (643 characters)

I have to say that I am kind of anxious to try this one. I like the price point on the Svyturys line of bottles and this is one of the last that I have not reviewed.

I rolled the bottle around on the countertop to put anything that may have settled back into suspension and it worked, but I had to pour very gently as it produced a massive two-plus fingers of dense, bone-white foam with excellent retention. Color was a mighty cloudy golden-yellow, kind of like freshly squeezed grapefruit juice. Nose was very spicy initially, underlain with banana esters. Mouthfeel was slightly thin with a metallic tang accompanying the spice and banana on the tongue. Finish was semi-dry with the spiciness taking hold, but I could not shake that metallic taste that was also very present. It may have been a case of I got what I paid for. Oh well. I have had better from this company, so I do not want to put you off of trying others of their beers, but not this one. (958 characters)

Beautiful, cream and blonde with a sparkling merengue-like head that leaves sheets of lace on the glass. Coriander and sour orange with over ripe banana and lemon zest. Surprisingly delicious example of the style, spicy clove and nutmeg with a lemon curd and crackery dry quality. Medium light bodied with sharp carbonation. I admit that Wit is not my favorite style but this is a textbook example of what the best of the style has to offer. (441 characters)

Poured from a brown 16.9 oz. bottle. Has a cloudy dark golden color with white hues and a 1 inch head. Smell is very spicy, some citrus. Taste is citrus up front, considerable corriander is in there, good flavor. Feels full bodied in the mouth and overall is a quality beer. (274 characters)
