We visited this place because it was within walking distance of Triple 7 Brewing. We went for the beers and were subjected to the atmosphere. It's just a tiny upstairs lounge in the casino, nothing special. The beers were decent, but not great. The IPA was the best in my opinion. The service was subpar even for a chincy joint like this. The bartender was rude and unresponsive to her customers and it wasn't even crowded. They only had house beers as far as I could see, which meant about 5 mediocre beers and one good one. I don't think I'd ever go back here. It's just not worth it.

A pleasant find while taking in Fremont Street. The IPA was tasty and my wife liked the Heffe. She also hit on one of the bandits !

I enjoyed the Brown Ale. Rich, malty and, above all, fresh. Same thing goes for the sliders. I visited at 11am when the place was clean and quiet and enjoyed it. (My internal clock is a mess in Vegas.) It is worth a visit. But remember, it is downtown Vegas and teh 4 Queens. It ain't the Bellagio. Embrace the sleezyness and enjoy it none the less!

Here on the afternoon of Saturday 1st May, Kentucky Derby day. The bar area overlooks the slot machines on the floor below, the bar was full of very noisey horse followers. Behind the bar was an equally noisey barlady in a sports shirt of some kind (a Chicago one?).

I ordered a taster selection, my wife a cup of tea. With a grunt my two storey, round taster tray was plonked down onto our dirty table. The floor was no better, French Fries and a knife under my stool, knapkins and the remains of a burger bun under my wifes. A minute later the hot water and tea bag arrives for the wife, I ask which beer is which and am told to read the filthy menu to work out what beer it is from the nine given, there being a number under each small glass.

The beers were (to be fair) fine, apart from one which had a smell like Jagermeister and a taste like Bazooka Bubble Gum.

We left because of the loadness of the customers, their bet runner and the courseness of the barlady. Those having food seemed to be enjoying it (unlike the people who had our table before us, who chucked it on the floor). It looked good, but we were not hungry and we didn't feel welcome anyway.

Visited on 2/18/2010:

Stopped in for a little grub after an afternoon on the craps tables.

As noted by the other reviewers, the place is still located in the Four Queens hotel, but kind of out of the way. A few in the party that I was traveling with had some trouble finding the place, but we eventually all hooked up.

The place was kind of small-ish. Upon entering the bar was off to the right and looked like it seated 10 or so. There was smoking allowed. We sat off to the left in a little area with some tables, maybe seated 20, maybe. Let's just say that it did not give off the vibe that most brewpubs do and leave it at that.

The service was OK, nothing special, kind of what I was used to when I lived up in Philly. Not exactly helpful, not exactly polite, not exactly quick and with a bit of attitude, but overall OK.

As for the food, we tried one of the deep dish pizzas and one thin crust. The deep dish was probably as good as one of the frozen pizzas you can pick up at your local grocery store and some of those are actually better. The thin crust we thought was better, but again, about the same quality as the deep dish. The garlic knots on the other hand were good.

While there, I only tried one beer, the IPA, and the root beer. The menu had maybe 8 beers on it, a few different styles were noted, but I don't really recall what they were. The IPA was served in a 20oz glass and thought that it was average with good drinkability. The root beer was good as well for those who like it. Also, the place would fill growlers.

Overall, definitely not a place that you must stop by if you are in Vegas, but if you find yourself downtown, it might be worth it to stop by for a beer or two, but skip the food.
