12 ounce bottle, with freshness/bottling date info.

Pours heavily hazed tangerine, off white head, leaves a nice fine bubble film and fields of fine sheeting.

Citric lime and wit beer spice on the nose.

Flavorful hybrid style brew. More lime, more hoppy IPA presence, nice yeasty/citric/nutty finish.

My kinda beer, complex, biting citric hop notes, yeasty finish bringing the intrigue.

Well done. Make more of this one..

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

Big fluffy white head, witbier haze from the yeast that was stirred in while pouring. Hoppy and spicy aroma with a hint of fruity alcohol. Big on smoothness with a semi-creamy medium body. Ample bitterness mostly from the hops but no doubt some of it from the coriander. Spicy and slightly warming. Herbal hop flavor and nutty yeast to finish the beer out on the dry side.

For what this sub-style is it lands well within the realm and makes be want to go back for more.

8/3..pours darker gold, heavy white foam, settles and rings. Citrus, wheat, pepper, tree bark all in the nose. Coriander too. Light open, hard close. Thin body, little carbonation, hard bitter close. Rind like taste. Not a huge fan of the white IPA style in general, and this is no exception. So so.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. Sampled on February 22, 2015.

The pour is orange-amber with a quick lasting head.

Aroma: Pineapple, grapefruit, and melon. Toasted biscuit behind it all.

The body is about medium and smooth.

The same pineapple, grapefruit, melon characters play up in the taste and there is a lingering bitter bite to finish.

A- Uber hazy yellow body, almost milky in appearance from the yeast that unsettles from the bottom of the bottle. Small white, frothy cap builds up but has less than stellar retention and falls to a small, fine ring. Lace has some nice webs at the top and some spots down the glass.

S- Citrus and tropical fruit notes resonate throughout the aroma from the hops. Fairly juicy and somewhat pungent standard IPA levels of hops. Light yeast bread and base malts in the backdrop.

T- Hops make up a majority of what the palate receives with juicy fruit hops. Notes of grapefruit, oranges, tangerine, slight mango and citrus juice come to mind. Good stone and tropical fruits with a slight balance of yeast and light cracked grains.

MF- Creamy and moderately carbonated overall texture to this brew. Body is on the lighter side but feels substantial enough thanks to that texture. Light bitterness in the finish.

Seems like Long Trail has discovered some nice hop dosages. I am a huge fan of Limbo and have tried the four beers in this mix pack and all have been solid. Good to see a nice hoppy, local mixed 12 pack.

12oz bottle bought as part of the current Long Trail Farmhouse Ales mixed 12-pack from Yankee Spirits, Sturbridge, MA. Bottled on 10/14.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" eggshell head over the slightly cloudy golden brew. Dense head holds on nicely, with lasting lace. Aroma is citrusy and sweet.

Taste starts moderately sweet, then the citrus takes over, dominating through the close. Mouthfeel is smooth, and drinkability is very good. The "white" in the name led me to expect wheat, but I got none of that here, just a citrusy light colored IPA, which works for me.

Moderate, but lumpy head. Leaves some chunky spots on the glass. The color is yellow to gold with a touch of haze.

A bit earthy, but in a subtle way. Lemon rind smell from the hop. Some pine notes as well.

Much more IPA than Belgian. I don't detect any yeast like in the flavor. The malt is light while the hop is very strong with a peppery bite. Good body with an appropriate level of carbonation. Very drinkable.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, hazy, opaque, straw-gold coloring with a bunch of floating sediment and carbonation action. Tall, frothy, bright white head quickly settles into a surface coating. Aromas of citrus, evergreen, toasted grains, clove, pine needles, and moss. Very interesting nose, and very balanced. Flavors are toasted grain forward, with a citrus backbone and hints of char throughout. Lemon and lemon grass, hints of resinous pitch, and only a slight bitter character. The nose leaned IPA, and the palate leans back a bit towards Wit...interesting brew. Light, effervesced body gives the end flavors a bit of sharpness. Aftertaste of grassy notes and citrus sweet and tart. Clean, crisp finish that is slightly sharp, with an evergreen linger. Very interesting.

One of the four offerings in Long Trail's Farm House "IPA Sampler" box. This unfiltered ale is partly cloudy and golden with a bright white rocky head. The nose is very much American IPA in character. The flavor is a true fusion of wit and IPA, with strong hop presence at the finish and a hint of citrus and coriander. Very fresh tasting hops as the brew date on the bottle was just a few days prior to sampling. Fairly full mouthfeel and lots of lacing in the glass too. I much prefer this Farmhouse White IPA to Long Trail's standard "Belgian White." This and the Black Rye IPA are probably my favorites in the sampler box; though they're all good. I was glad to see Long Trail branch out more in the IPA department and hope to see at least a few of these Farm House offerings become full time beers.

A friend gave me this the other day after he visited the brewery. Ended up being a great ipa. The taste is pretty complex, blending good fresh/flavorful hops, a grainy malt flavor, and maybe even some citrus notes. The beer went down easy but still left that ipa bitter bite that i like. Overall a pretty damn good beer.

12 oz. bottle poured into a chalice.

A- Light gold and hazy. Effervescent. Yeast bits float around. White head is one finger and strong. Great lacing.

S- Coriander is right off the bat the main aroma. Orange and orange peel notes, along with a little toasty malt.

T- Some citrus notes, orange and lemon. A bit of a spice, especially coriander. Malt character is subtle but toasty, and there is a earthy hop bitterness.

M- There is a battle of bitterness and dryness in the feel. Spices leave a dryness and hops leave a bitterness, both sticking through the finish on the tongue. Body is medium light.

O- This one isn't bad. The coriander is a little over the top, but it's palatable. Nice subtle citrus notes as well.
