Pours a clear, orangy/amber color, with a very modest head. Smell is citrus/tropical hops, not massive, but substantial. The taste has a similar hoppy flavor, but it's not quite up to the smell and it's got a bit more booziness than I'd like. Mouthfeel is nice, no complaints. Overall, I'm being picky here because it's not perfect, but my general reaction is, "wow, this is a really good ipa and I can't believe it's from Long Trail!" Good beer, good price. I'll buy this one when I see it.

A- Half inch dense white head on a solid orange body. Some clumpy lacing with a collar left that last the whole 12 ounces.

S- Aromas of bright citrus, oranges.

T- Taste follows the aroma but cranks it up two notches...sweet tropical notes throughout. Wow, that's eye opening. Hops leave a slight bitter aftertaste. Leaves the mouth watering for the next sip. Would put it right at it's stated ABV of 7.5%.

M- Full mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

D/O- Somewhat reminded me of Sculpin. Very apparent upfront sweetness separates it from most IPAs. Enjoyed the simple but dramatic artwork. Thanks a ton for this solid local Marc (mj0126)!

Extra from papparoachy, thank you sir!

A- Amazeballs ruby diamond in color, never seen in IPA with this color. It is like a mix between an amber and a darker translucent IPA. Very litte carb in this, but it works. Thin lacing with good legs.

S- Kinda bland here, malt backbone takes up the majority of the S. Small amount of piney hop character.

T- Really enjoyable IPA that isn't malt heavy or hop heavy. Just nice and light. Nothing really dominating here, but balanced well.

M- Crazy thing about this one is the carb sort of avalanches from the front of your tongue to the back giving a tingling sensation throughout your taste. Really interesting there. Decent amount of carb.

O- A well done IPA that is in the category of IPA's that I like, not malt or pine heavy.

Appearance: Slightly hazy orange copper color with a soapy one finger off white head

Smell: Fruit, fruit, and more fruit! Both citrus and tropical

Taste: Citrus lemon peel, oranges. Some tropical flavors such as mango, peaches. All backed up by a great malt backbone

Mouthfeel: Medium body with the perfect bitterness

Overall: This is a incredibly clean tasting and refreshing IPA. Rivals some of the best on the market. Went with my wings marvelously. Definitely recommended

A: slightly orange, subtle bubbles

S: I was blown away. One of the best smelling I've had

T: amazingly subtle for such a high octane (7.5%) ipa.

I stumbled across this beer at Wegmans in downingtown. I was on my way to victory and was looking for something new. At $9.49 a 6er this is an unreal beer.

Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint glass. Bottled on 3/19/14 on bottle neck. Single purchased at Total Wine (Norwalk, CT).

A: Orange-amber with 2-finger off-white head with good retention and thick curtain of lacing at the top of the glass.

S: Very tropical fruity hoppiness with a mildly vegetative element. The caramel malt backing is not too strong. No yeast or alcohol contributions. The aroma reminds me of Schlafly Tasmanian IPA but a little more subdued.

T: Great flavor -- a super balance of grassy, vegetative character with exotic tropical fruit hopping. The caramel backbone pokes through here and there to provide some counterpoint to the intense hop blast. No yeast or alcohol at all despite the 7.6%. Really a great and unique IPA.

M: Very even with medium body that blends lush and dry very well. Carbonation is spot-on with a good balance of crispness and feel.

O: Limbo IPA is a very good beer that pushes LT to a new level. This beer pushes a lot of right buttons and is a superb American IPA with equal parts flavor, aroma, and feel.

Lots of clarity to show the efferevecence of this rose gold beer. Egg shell lacing. Big aromas are letting me know this is gonna be more exciting than all these session ipas that keep popping up. Citrus, mango, banana, eucalyptus, caramel, and apricot. Flavor is dominated by the sweet tropical fruits tempered by bitter grapefruit. This one takes a turn for me with an off putting tang. It really dries the mouth out on the finish. Glad I tried it, but it didn't live up to the rave reviews for me.
