Bottled 01/23/14

A: Pours a hazy apricot color with a fingers worth of head that fades down to a bubbly cap that leaves some nice sticky lacing

S: Nice juicy hops up front with a solid malt backbone. Lightly spicy, but mostly mango and tropical hops

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with a burst of tropical hops followed by a lightly spicy malt presence. Bitterness lingers into the finish along with some of the juiciness

M: Light-medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: The body makes this very easy to drink, along with the fact that it never gets overly bitter despite the 80 IBUs. Well-balanced and nicely juicy. Definitely one of Long Trail's better brews, if not their best so far

12 ounce bottle, bottled 1-22-14

Pours clouded lighter amber, long lasting lite khaki head. Leaves generous fine and high sheeting.

Grapefruit nose, juicy and pungent.

Super tasty IPA. Loads of citrus, grapefruit, grapefruit and more grapefruit and more of a minor lime note.

Long trail's finest hour. This is well crafted and well worth seeking out. Finally a world class IPA from Vermont that I dont have to Vermont for and dont need to know the secret handshake to purchase a few six packs of.

Poured from bottle to pint glass.

A: Clear beer with an amber/redish hue.

S: Very strong presence of tropical fruit aromas from the hops. Very good nose on this beer.

T: Strong hop forward flavor with a light malt note.

M: A bit of a thin mouth feel, but not out of the ordinary with a well clarified beer.

Overall, this is a very good beer with a delicious hop aroma and flavor. Any big hop fans would enjoy this beer.

I am not an experienced reviewer and the formal process of writing a review is intimidating. But I love this beer and want people to know that this is a worthy world class IPA.

I have had it on tap, at the brewery, I brought home two cases and a growler. The reviews I have read describe it's qualities better than I can and I agree. The quality I like is that is very hop forward, but it's bitterness is not what I remember after each sip. Fruity, citrus, bitter and clean but deep... And there is a three phase taste experience that reveals it's excellent malt foundation under the prominent hops.

Goes great with food, I mean really great and it is when I enjoy it most.

Try it.

A: A rusty copper color, solid lacing, small head. Head lasts very well actually, bigger than when I poured due to some agitation. Impressive.

S: Some citrus fruits, lemon, oranges, grapefruit. A few weeks old now and I recall it being more pungent.

T: More interesting than nose, earthy, floral, grapefruit, finishes with someore, pineapple, some good dankness. Lotta different flavors. Mostly earthy spicey. Some Cirta fruits coming

M: A very full, normal carbonation,

O: Really great beer, totally holds up to the great 6 pack 1.5 IPAs. Sucks, Union Jack, Nugget Nectar, real good. Absolute top notch, great deal, must get fresh, will repeat. Very impressed from a brewery I often find
