An unfiltered golden ale made to chill out summer's hottest days. Remarkably light on the palate, with a soft Pilsner malt character and a distinct citrus hop aroma deriving from dry-hopped additions of Citra hops. Each sip finishes with a refreshing bitterness that invites another. At 4.3% ABV, this golden beauty is a truly quaffable drinking experience.

Definitely not bad, pretty bland though. Extremely easy to drink, which I guess is exactly what you want in a Summer beer. I don't love it, but I don't hate it either. Kind of a paradox of sorts. Seems perfect for a day on the water so I guess I kind of like it.

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.

Hazed pale yellow straw color, healthy subs all around. Pungent citric hop nose with dank grapefruit rind. Smooth, light crispness with a slightly thin body. Big on hops in comparison to what is offered up in malt, a bit one sided. Getting my hop fix but seems too light IMO.

12oz bottle light hazy color with a lemony slight hoppy aroma, the taste was pretty much the same nothing to overpowering considering the "Summer" ale. My favorite part of this beer was the carbonation which I quite enjoyed med to high carbonation. A decent beer that doesn't stand out in the "session beer" market .

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle bottled on 02/26/14. Sampled about four weeks later on March 21, 2014. This is the second new Long Trail brew I have added to the BA database.

A slightly hazy pale yellow pour erupts into a white fizzy head that fades back gently to a ring around the glass. Slow moving carbonation continues bubbling upwards for the session.

The aroma emits many of the classic summer pale ale esters including toasted biscuit malts, crackers, and a nice citrus hop sensation.

Light body but it also has a smooth texture to it.

The taste has a kind of boldness to it that does not often accompany summer brews I have tried. I get the same toast and cracker note but it evolves quickly into a dry and citrus hop finish. The hop character makes this one more of a standout to other summers IMO.
