Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – Pours a golden color with a big white head. The head faded slowly over time to leave a moderate level of lacing on the side of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is heaviest of grapefruit citrus and pine hop and mixed with a biscuit smelling base.
Taste – The taste begins smooth and malty. This bready and caramel sweet flavor is soon meet with pine hop flavors that start out on the very subtle side and grow in strength as the taste moves on. As the pine grows stronger, other hop flavors of a light citrus and floral nature also some to the tongue. Overall the transitions are all very smooth and in the end leave a pleasant hop flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the thicker and creamier side for its strength, with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. The creamier body helps the nice flavor transitions, as well as allows the hop flavors to really soak in.
Overall – This is a nice, more session like IPA with very smooth characteristics overall. Pretty good!!!
