Poured from a 12-ounce bottle into a SA pint glass.
A: Pours a golden yellow-orange with a one finger head of foam which reduces to a fine lace. Pretty standard IPA appearance, but maybe a tad on the light side.
S: Smells of floral hops and a nice dash of malts. The smell brings some nice balance, along with a welcome citrus scent.
T: Taste is dry, sweet and hoppy. The alcohol doesn;t really come through on the palate, until there's a little bite at the end of a sip. Not too overpowering on the hops.
M: Mouthfeel is light-medium bodied and crisp. It was a little warm today, so this went down particularly smooth.
D: I could definitely drink a few of these. The ABV on this IPA is low enough so you could enjoy it for a session, though it might be a bit too thin and leaving the drinker wanting more complexity after a while.
A nice addition for Long Trail, who, IMHO, has a tendency to keep brewing its standard ale and slapping different labels on it. Not a bad representation for the style, though I prefer Brooklyn's take on the English IPA.
