Notes/Commercial Description:
The culmination of a long growing season, the autumn harvest comes once a year. We mark the end of summer with the release our seasonal brown ale, Harvest. Vermont maple syrup added during the brewing process yields a lasting sweetness on the palate that's guaranteed to warm your soul.

Raise a glass and enjoy the spirit of the season. Pairs well with wood-splitting, leaf-raking and pumpkin carving.

In celebration of the autumn harvest we’ve brewed this brown ale with locally harvested Vermont ingredients... a truly unique Taste of Vermont!

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a dark cola color with almost no head and minimal lacing.

Aroma: This beer has a wheaty, almost rye-ish smell to it with a big malt presence up front.

Taste: This beer has an enjoyable, mild flavor, with lots of malt and a touch of syrup. It has that somewhat wheat or rye-like taste alluded to in the nose. I don't know if there's any wheat or rye in the grain bill, but the taste has notes reminiscent of it.

Mouthfeel: Very smooth, with a nice autumnal depth.

Overall: Pretty terrific autumn offering from Long Trail. I love the mild flavors and approachability of this beer. One of New England's better fall seasonals, for fans of brown ales with a little nuance.

12 oz.

Pours a deep, clear amber brown, slightly off-white film for a head that retains indefinitely.

Smells of rich caramel and buttered biscuit malt, slight coppery notes, and walnut.

Tastes of buttered biscuit malt with a hint of coppery sugar and some mild dry non-bitter hop.

Medium body with fizzy carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

A decent enough brown with a nice flavor and average body. Nothing special, but nothing really to complain about and drinks very easy. Also very sessionable at its strength while remaining flavorable. Worth looking into and viable as a go-to brew for people looking for a darker session ale.

Tremendous low abv brown ale. Pours medium brown with a off white head. Great nutty, grape nut like flavors in this. But there are enough hops to provide a clean and dry finish. The smell is rich like fresh toast and cereal. This is super sessionable. I could drink this all day on a nice fall day.
