I remember having this on tap at the brewery and thinking it was one of the simplest, purest, and best beers I have ever had. Should be good out of the bottle too!
A - Pours a dark golden color with a one finger white head that does not last long.
S - A bit of a fruity malt aroma with a hint of hops. Pretty simple.
T - Very smooth and crisp tasting. Nice maltiness to it and a nice crisp hoppy finish. Tastes a little toasty, like most ambers do. Bready as well, but just a well balanced and simple taste.
M - Pretty light mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
D - This is a great session beer, and it isn't heavy at all.
Overall, this is just a simple, good beer. As beers get more and more complex and imperialized these days, it's good to sit back and have an old fashioned, simple amber ale like this.
