This is a 12 oz bottle purchased a the Brewery one month ago and served in a Chimay goblet. The ale is cool.
Appearance: The ale has a copper color with no haze and a small head.
Smell: The ale has a toasted malt aroma, somewhat of a overdone biscuit smell.
Taste: The beer has a firm malt character of biscuit flavors. The hop character is moderate and provides just enough of a balance to the beer.
Mouthfeel: The flavor, in the bottle, is much more noticeable, giving the ale a pleasant mouthfeel that finishes long.
Drinkability: I find that the bottled version is superior to the fresh version and is a decent showing for an altbier.
