Light amber orange, very clear. Highly active effervescence with short whitish tiny-bubbled head. Nice rings of lace left behind.
Smells slightly yeasty, with some sweet mild grain and a spritz of hop. The toffee dominates though.
Sweeter than I expected, though it coincides with the smell. Muted fruit hides behind the caramel, and it has just exactly enough hop in there somewhere to keep it balanced. The maltiness is smooth and balanced; and the next drink comes rather quickly. The aftertaste is the only part I have trouble with. There is a stickiness that isn't really sweet, but just a residual that reminds me of warm corn adjunct beer. Not terrible mind you, just detracting
Smooth and clean, this is an easy drinker with a light body that I have no problem rolling around in my mouth before the swallow. Nice session brew indeed. Nothing special, but quite solid all around.
