1656th Review on BA
Bottle to Alchemist glass
Thanks to Thegerm87 for this one
App- This was a nice looking beer. A solid amber/brown/ruby color with a pretty good dense center. Looked like a wine at 1st. Once the head formed that was light tan and had a so-so cling.
Smell- This was a big malt bomb. Very full and creamy on the nose with lots of dark fruits and a tannic like sweetness. A bit of caramel and more like a Ubu Ale or a Double Bastard.
Taste- Its a good beer. Its solid and malty. Doesnt deviate a lot from what it is though. More of a dessert beer for what I would say a good torte or berry cheesecake with the sweetness and body to balance. Full and malty with a good bit of berry and caramel behind it.
Mouth- A good full body and a solid medium-low carbonation with enough bubbles to balance it all out. Residual full malts remain with a touch of sweetness and dark fruits (Ie- blackberries)
Drink- Pretty good and malty. A bit thick and flavorful. Like I mentioned. Better for dessert.

This bottle definitely has at least a year on it.
A-Pours a slightly murky brown color. This mass of bubbles for a head. Body has some particulate swirling and sinking within it.
S-Sweet and richly malty. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Some dark fruit. Zero hop presence. Some alcohol.
T-Even with some age on it, this beer is too hot. It's rather high in alcohol but the booze is not well integrated. All the stuff in the nose is here, without much else to add.
M-A bit syrupy. Hot. Not cloying but it's within reach. Warms the cheeks for sure.
O/D-Nigger is not better. Double Bag was one of my first intros to craft. I still enjoy it somewhat. This one doesn't have the same magic as it's little brother.
