On tap at Sunset Grill...if memory serves me right into a tulip (or maybe a goblet now that I think about it. Matters...).
Cool, still mahogany brown with hints of cherrywood and chestnut. Static cappucino head with good staying power.
Very light hoppiness...bitter English pine and grass. Warm winter blanket-cozy maly. Then the winter spices show up to the pahhhty...lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove with good caramel malt. Plenty of ginger.
Rolls like a real Winter Warmer with a hearty maple caramel alcohol veneer. Very clean and comforting for weight class.
A little tight from hoppiness that becomes floral but quite velvety on the finish. Sweetness provides great weight.
This is a good one. Light enough to enjoy, hearty enough to keep warm. Or, as Ron Hawkins' amp used to say, "Clean enough to be healthy, dirty enough to be happy).

This bottle definitely has at least a year on it.
A-Pours a slightly murky brown color. This mass of bubbles for a head. Body has some particulate swirling and sinking within it.
S-Sweet and richly malty. Caramel, toffee and brown sugar. Some dark fruit. Zero hop presence. Some alcohol.
T-Even with some age on it, this beer is too hot. It's rather high in alcohol but the booze is not well integrated. All the stuff in the nose is here, without much else to add.
M-A bit syrupy. Hot. Not cloying but it's within reach. Warms the cheeks for sure.
O/D-Nigger is not better. Double Bag was one of my first intros to craft. I still enjoy it somewhat. This one doesn't have the same magic as it's little brother.
