22 oz bottle to highball glass.
The consistency and sheer, black richness of the pour is warming to my heart in the mid-winter. This beer is nothing short of excellent. Longtrail has put out some solid brews over the years, but this trumps them all.
A beautiful nose of roasted espresso and a very earthy, black truffle sweetness, combined with the typical RIS tricks of adding chocolate and dark fruits. Remarkably well balanced in the mouth, with heavy grains, oats, and low carbonation throughout. Finish is creamy and rich, leaving a lingering, viscous mocha truffle aftertaste.

The beer comes in a black color with a creamy tan head.
The aroma is lovely with tons of chocolate and espresso, roasted malt. Almost like a fresh coffee smell.
The flavor follows with espresso and some bittersweet chocolate. The flavor doesn't linger long on the tongue with sweetness. It's a quite easy finish. It really is aggressive with the coffee, which is wonderful.
The highlight of this beer is the lovely creamy mouthfeel and drinkability.
The alcohol is extremely well hidden.
Having had an older bottle of this along with fresh on tap, the older still had that pop of coffee and did not die out.
