Live tasting bomber courtesy of caguiar (thanks buddy!!) into Duvel tulip.
Appearance; pours a very deep, dark brown... Appears a solid black in the glass. A very slight mocha colored head with minimal retention... Lacing is non-existent...
Smell; tons and tons of coffee, hints of chocolate and vanilla... Some roasty malts sneak in as well.
Taste; definitely got some coffee in this one, chocolate, roasted malt, hints of vanilla and anise on the finish.
Mouthfeel; a little on the thinner side with a slight lingering finish... Goes down smooth, with a velvety mouthfeel.
Overall; a rock solid coffee stout!

The beer comes in a black color with a creamy tan head.
The aroma is lovely with tons of chocolate and espresso, roasted malt. Almost like a fresh coffee smell.
The flavor follows with espresso and some bittersweet chocolate. The flavor doesn't linger long on the tongue with sweetness. It's a quite easy finish. It really is aggressive with the coffee, which is wonderful.
The highlight of this beer is the lovely creamy mouthfeel and drinkability.
The alcohol is extremely well hidden.
Having had an older bottle of this along with fresh on tap, the older still had that pop of coffee and did not die out.
