poured from a bomber into a St. Bernardus goblet.
Absolutely no head at all, no matter how hard I poured trying to force a head. Pitch black though.
Nose was very hoppy. No coffee aroma.
This is the first coffee stout I have ever had that didnt taste like coffee or stout... I'm still not sure what it tasted like. Bitterness from the hops stood out.
Mouthfeel was extremely thin. I realize that not every stout is thick and creamy but this felt like I was drinking a very weak/watery coffee yet without the smell or flavor of coffee...
I'm probably rating the drinkability lower than it really should.
I just dont see myself ever buying this again.

The beer comes in a black color with a creamy tan head.
The aroma is lovely with tons of chocolate and espresso, roasted malt. Almost like a fresh coffee smell.
The flavor follows with espresso and some bittersweet chocolate. The flavor doesn't linger long on the tongue with sweetness. It's a quite easy finish. It really is aggressive with the coffee, which is wonderful.
The highlight of this beer is the lovely creamy mouthfeel and drinkability.
The alcohol is extremely well hidden.
Having had an older bottle of this along with fresh on tap, the older still had that pop of coffee and did not die out.
