Brought back from a trip to New England this past summer.

A. Hazy yellow with white creamy head that leaves lots of residual lacing.

S. Lots of malt sweetness with piney hoppiness. Some honey in the nose.

T. Lots of sweet malt with piney hoppiness. Some honey. Grapefruit and pineapple come out on tongue and nose as it warms.

M. Thick and creamy with good carbonation.

D. Very good. Fairly malt forward (aided by its 6 month aging).

Poured into a Due South Brewing Co. snifter. There's a freshness code stamped on the bottleneck but it's smeared and unreadable.

A- Pours a hazy dark amber color with a 1/2 inch off-white head that retains well before becoming a thick bubbly ring around the edge of the glass and some small bubbly patches of surface foam. Tight clusters of semi-resilient lacing.

S- Musty, earthy hop aroma. Smells like New Zealand hops but I'm not sure.

T- Similarly earthy in the flavor with a bit of citrus on top. Zesty hop bitterness is assertive yet enjoyable. Easy drinking for the ABV.

M- Tingly and bright with medium carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side.

O- A very smooth and flavorful DIPA. I only got a single but I should've picked up a 4- or 6-pack.
