This brew shows a clear light golden color but with lots of tiny suspended particles and a few bigger floaters. It has a very hefty off-white head and robust lacing as well. The aroma brings a light but sweet citrus hop with a polite bready malt background. The flavor follows suit with a tasteful blend of grapefruit and orange hop and grassy bread, a bit less malt noted. This sort of reminds me of a toned down, more blended version of Hop Stoopid, in some ways a more polished presentation of a similar taste but not so intensely hopped or perversely flavored. This DIPA presents a somewhat viscous fair bodied feel with a little resinous touch notable. This is smooth yet somewhat refreshing and quite flavorful. Goes down pretty easy for a DIPA, very moderate alcohol presence for the style, but not anemic by any stretch. All around fine work by the Long Trail crew. Nothing over the top, but it's got some personality in it's refined character and drinkable quality.

L: Pours hazy gold under a 1” finely bubbled white foam cap that hugs the side of the glass.
S: Rich malt aromas, fruit, citrus, earthy hops.
T: Citrusy, lemony hops provide flavor throughout on a rich malt backbone and provide a bitter finish. F: Medium body and carbonation.
O: A very nicely done Imperial IPA that is worth seeking out.
