A: Pours a medium honey colored body with a silky cream one finger head. Steady carbonation. Strong lacing.

S: Big, juicy grapefruit hops, lemon, orange rind, light pine. Malts are shadowy, sweetened crackers. Overall, this beer is very sweet smelling.

T: Medicinal hops, somewhat acidic and citrusy. A bit metallic in the middle. Malts are light and negligible. Alcohol pulls in at the end with a mild bite. Stinging residual hop bitterness.

M: Medium bodies and plenty chewy.

D: Certainly not the best example of a double IPA out there. Too bad the taste doesn't follow the lead of the aroma. Props to Long Trail for trying out new things. Their standard IPA was one of the first hoppy beers I ever had as a youngin', I thought it was disgusting then, but now I find it mild.

L: Pours hazy gold under a 1” finely bubbled white foam cap that hugs the side of the glass.
S: Rich malt aromas, fruit, citrus, earthy hops.
T: Citrusy, lemony hops provide flavor throughout on a rich malt backbone and provide a bitter finish. F: Medium body and carbonation.
O: A very nicely done Imperial IPA that is worth seeking out.
