22 oz bomber poured into a tulip glass
A - Hazy golden orange color with a frothy head which leaves lacing all over the place, but still retains a nice film over the beer while drinking.
S - Citrus, pine, resin, hops, fruit...overall very clean and inviting.
T - Oily citric hops and pine slice through immediately, instantly announcing their presence. A sweet malt base provides some added character without throwing off the hops too much or becoming heavy handed. There's a little warmth towards the end but the hops still shine bright with bitterness and fruit.
M - Smooth - and i mean seriously smooth, especially for a DIPA, making it even more pleasant.
D - This is surprisingly drinkable for a DIPA, and the 8.6% is barely noticeable, making this almost a little dangerous if you aren't paying attention.
A surprisingly nice brew from Long Trail here, and for the price it's even harder to beat. While half the other bottles in the store are upwards of $10-15, this guy is just begging to be brought home.

1 Pint, 6 oz bottle poured into a glass.
A: Cloudy burnt orange color. Beautiful for an IPA. Practically no head at all.
S: Nice hop aroma with a little bit of pine scent as well.
T: Love the fairly high IBU count (86). Nice hop taste with a little bit of sweetness. Unfortunately, they didn't balance the hop taste with the alcohol taste.
M: Carbonation is fine but the alcohol taste is not masked as much as it should be.
O: One of the best Double IPAs I've had. I picked this up for just $3.99. I would spend that on this any day of the week.
