nicely frothy white cap, 2 solid fingers - absolutely lovely looking, straw hue with a wink at orange (slightly cloudy), lots of carbonation swirling around, simple but this scores in all categories, lacing is excellent and the head retention is stellar, great looking brew from the fine folks at long trail

mildly piney, citrusy, lemon zest, nice rounded fresh hop aroma, not the strongest but really nice and hoppy in a pleasant way

taste etc...
bright carbonation, really pops in the mouth, drinks medium with a pretty good amount of malt presence, the hops are really nice and in balance here, there is a nice underlying sweetness that nestles in along with some mild bitterness, this is a winner all around, nice mouth feel (a bit more substantial than many IPAs), good hop flavor, some bitterness, malt sweetness coming through and a slightly kicked up ABV. What is not to love?

great beer, hits on all points and is very drinkable, it satisfies that hop craving but remains approachable

32 oz. growler filled at hamburg consumers. Poured into a snifter.

Pours out a very clear deep golden bordering a light copper color. A decent looking white head, about 1 fingers worth. Keeps some pretty average spotty head retention with just a bit of lacing.

Smells of juicy tropical fruits with some dry grapefruit citrus. Also a bit of fresh cut grass.

At the front of the sip, some juicy citrusy hops with just a hint of lemon and tropical fruit. This is quickly cut by a good amount of dry grapefruit citrus bitterness. Also, a soapy hop flavor with just a slight hint grass and a light grainy generic tasting malt.

Medium to light in body with lots of dry bitterness that lingers on the palate.

Not a bad IPA, but a little too much bitterness with not enough hop flavor to stand up to it. Not something I would really buy again.

Poured on tap at BarleyVine, Main St Bristol, CT.

Hazy dark straw color. Thin white head.

Powerful hop presence in the nose. Pine, some citrus. Sharp.

Taste is full of hoppy bitterness surrounded by more pine and mouth filling bitter-tartness. Enamel wasting bitterness. Very long lasting dry bitter finish. Abrasive. Very little balance though. Not much malt to speak of.

Overall, a very enjoyable, quenching brew. Just needs more malt for balance.

On-tap 12/12/2012 at Track 84, in Warwick, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains fruity citrus, floral hops and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts with a strong grassy hops bitterness. Then some citrus and caramel sweetness comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Very tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, decent kick, very good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to pound down for a long time.

A: Poured from the growler into a pint glass. Body is golden-honey in color with a small off-white head. Some lacing.

S: Very pleasant - apricot and citrus (think grapefruit juice).

T: Modest pale malt foundation is followed by apricot, grassy/piney hops and a lemony dry finish.

M: Medium in heft, carbonation is light.

O: Good stuff. On the lighter side of IPAs, in both color and overall flavor - the apricot really lightens it up and makes it a good drinker. Still plenty of flavor, however. If they bottled this, I'd certainly buy it to have around regularly.

On tap @ paradise by the slice
It has a straw colored body with a very thin head to it. The smell has a nice hop aroma that bits the nose.
The taste has a great hop bite, nice and bitter, that lingers all the way down.
The mouth feel is good and leaves bitter after taste
Overall this is a really good ipa
