Visited with a friend on a crisp and clear Vermont day. The pub was busy, generally good atmosphere. We had chili and nachos which I would have to say we're only "fair". I would say the burgers that some seated around us were getting looked terrific. A odd quirk is that although they fill growlers, they will only fill their own growler, supposedly due to the local beverage control laws. Worth a trip if you are in the area.

What a great brewery! Served the beer at the just the right temperature out of a pint glass and also did flights. Beer prices were relatively cheap which I didn't expect and the brewery itself was located right near Killington, Pico Peak, and the Appalachian Trail. The brewery also provided a self guided tour of their brewery which was cool but not extremely personal by any means. The atmosphere was superb, offering both a tap bar and tables for if you wanted some lunch (only downside was the kids running around the brewery, but it was still really good). The wait staff clearly knew their stuff and were very friendly and quick to get you whatever you wanted! The food was typical kind of bar food, pretty good, but the beer on tap really made the experience. I was never a huge fan of Long Trail until this visit. Their beer on tap is two times better than it is served from the bottle, trust me! Their Limbo IPA and Blackbeary IPA out of the tap is almost too much to handle (not the best while eating a meal though). Absolutely worth a visit

Long trail in a fun brewery to visit. They brew good solid beer. Limbo ipa is one of my favorites. Vibrate atmosphere while waiting for a table. Grab a brew or two, if weather is nice head outside or just hang inside. The pulled pork sandwich was excellent.

The wife and I stop here on our way to NH every once in a while. Overall, we really enjoy the beer and the food but we have found that the food quality can be a little in consistent. Fortunately this is not the case with the beer, i will usually get the sampler to try the selection out, the staff is very helpful with recommendations.

Stopped by on a Vermont trip for dinner. The atmosphere perfectly captures the local trail lodge feel they are going for. The quality of the actual restaurant was very good, and the map with pins from where people have come from is entertaining. The quality of the beer was ok, but not amazing. The selection was smaller than I would have imagined, supporting the local feel but dissapointing for a visitor. The various series beers does help this problem though. The service was excellent and timely, they were knowledgeable about both the food and beers. Overall a solid place, worth a stop if in the area.

Visited this wonderful little brewery twice on recent trips to Vermont. I was quite impressed with the overall operation and quality of the beer. Having the ale pulled directly into your pint glass is a treat. I tried every available beer they had and was not disappointed. Came back with a couple of cases of Long Trail Ale as well. This will be my mainstay watering hole whenever I'm in the neighborhood!

This was one of the first breweries the wife and I stopped at on our on year road tripping around the US. The location is stellar, tucked in the beautiful VT rolling hills with greenery in every direction. The selection of beer included just about every distributed LT beer, but the quality is a bit lacking, only slightly above average for many of their brews. Service was great, these folks are super friendly. You can do a self guided tour of the brewery upstairs and be sure to place a pin on their map for your home town.

This was the third stop on our VT brewery tour. We arrived starving and in desperate need of a bathroom in the middle of a rain storm. We were soon put in a good mood. We ordered the sampler that had Blackbeary Wheat, Belgian White, Long Trail Ale, Pale Ale, IPA. I ordered the pulled pork. Everything was amazing. The service was a little slow but we pulled in right behind a big tour bus so we understood. The three of us fell in love with the Blackbeary Wheat and we ended up getting a 6 pack to go. This brewery is in a beautiful area and if you have time to drive up the moutain it is worth the visit.

A great brewery/ pub tucked into the Green Mountains of Vermont! Very laid back and friendly! A great place to spend an afternoon for lunch or an early dinner. It is the kind of place made to stop in after a day of skiing or leaf peeping! Or just to spend a lazy afternoon tasting a few of your favorite beverages!
Long Trail make some great beers and they have many of their selections on tap for your enjoyment.
They also have a decent pub menu to go along with their fine beer selections.
Very rustic but also very clean and family friendly. Definitely worth your time to stop in, if you are in the area.

I go to Vermont every year for vacation and my family and I finally took the hour and half drive to Long Trail. When I got there I was worried because it didn't look open, the parking lot was empty but a few motorcycles. When I walked in I was welcomed by the staff and asked if I needed help or a table. We took a self guided tour of the factory. At the time they were bottling their long trail ale. After we were finished checking that out we went down stairs where they had awesome fireplaces and huge deer heads on the walls, very Vermont! We went outside to their deck which is right on the river and ordered food and beers! The fish and chips were probably the best I've tried! The sample beers come out in a muffin pan which was very unique and a cool way to serve them. The prices were good not too much. Overall I really enjoyed myself and would take the trip for the food! We will be returning for a day at Long Trail!
