Truly one of my favorite breweries. Located next to a stream (river?), it has plenty of spacious indoor - and more importantly - outdoor spaces. Relaxing after a run / hike / strenuous activity while having a delicious crafted beer makes this brewery well worth seeking. Food menu is expansive but not too overwhelming. Beer selection is great as well. Again, add this to your 'must seek' list of breweries.

Great place to visit in the summer. The actual brewery tour is not all that fabulous but the restaurant and bar were great. Lots of cool things to look at inside the building. The outside seating for the restaurant is refreshing and they have a large selection of limited beers available to enjoy there or in bottles for later enjoyment.

I came to see my friends from a band called Formula 5 play and was not planning on trying any of the brews, but all of the servers were so outgoing and helpful in suggesting something I’d enjoy, I couldn’t resist. I had a couple of excellent brews and sat alongside the river which is accessible via the outdoor seating area. Children were playing, the band was grooving, it was a good time. Very cozy, tastefully and Vermont-fully decorated... knowledgeable bartenders. Good value, too! Didn’t pay more than $4 for a beer and they had a special on a few others I didn’t get to try.

Decent, friendly atmosphere, and pretty intimate-feeling for a "larger" brewery. Outside seating available. Didn't seem that busy to me, but there was still about a 10 minute wait to get a seat for lunch. I've never been a huge fan of LT's beers, but overall they tend to satisfy. Good amount on tap, and a lot of stuff you don't normally see on the shelves. No complaints about the service really...had to ask for silverware, but if that's the worst thing I can say, then we're all good. Got a simple lunch of grilled cheese and housemade tomato soup, which was good enough.

If you're like me, you go to VT for the upper state IPAs from Alchemist and HF. But I still give credit where credit is due. Long Trail has been around for a long time, and they make consistent beer. The brewery is definitely worth checking out even if it's a quick pit stop on the way up further north, as it was for me.

Nice crowded atmosphere. My server was very helpful and brought over extra samples, he even opened a bottle of the barrel-aged stout.

The food is typical pub fare but the pub crackers are a somewhat unique touch. Staff could be more attentive but this place is always bustling with out-of-staters making their way to and from the ski slopes. The back deck and fire pit make for a warm and rustic Vermont atmosphere. The beer speaks for itself.

Great river side brew pub. Friendly, long-term staff who know their beer and local Vermont. Good variety of food and most important, beer!

Perfect VT brewery. Right in between Woodstock and Killington so perfect location for some post ski day brew or a great way to cool down after hiking the long trail!

This was a nice suprised visit, as we had been VT roadtripping from Keene, NH. Started out on 9 west to VT. RT. 100 for a day at the Vermont Country Store. Taking RT. 4 to head east toward RT. 5 south for home. There was the Long Trail Brewery, with just enough time for one quick brew.

Sat at the bar, the vibe from patrons and employees was relaxed but fun. Good spirits. The bartenders were all very nice, my wide purchased a ladies t shirt that she loves. Sooo glad we stopped!!
Update** 10/19/18. Ventured outside to a beautuful deck area and grounds. Relax by the stream!!

I took a trip to Vermont to visit breweries and this was my first stop. The inside is really cozy, unfortunately the deck was closed for staining. There was to flights to choose from, regular and seasonal. I tried the seasonal and they were decent, my favorite was their Cranberry Gose.

Thick full head with a dark IPA pour out of the can. This batch was canned 12/28/16 and drank on 05/ 29/17.
Nice malt nose and flavor.
I will need to try this fresh but still very good . Mouth feel is hearty, nose is on the dark fruity side.
At 8.7 percent I should have oaces myself better but could not wait for my seond 16 oz. can.

Large brewery with open theatre inside atmosphere. Lots of seating at the bar and at tables, small shop for merchandise and take home cans, and a cool view of the brewing area. Food looked good although I didn’t get any.

Had a great time here on a family to Vermont. Always been a fan of Long Trail beers but they had a wider range of selection here than what I see back in RI (i.e. Barrel Aged Triple Bag). The atmosphere, service, and food was all great. They were able to accommodate the 16 of us in their tent section, which wasn't too bad at 10 degrees.

This place is off the road kind of in the middle of nowhere (Yes, I know I'm in Vermont) near Killington where we stayed one week in the summer with my cousins. I remember enjoying the food and service but it wasn't too expensive. We went for late lunch one day. I ate a ton of food as portions were large and my wife ate only part of her's. They had ten or twelve selections available including some specialties. I remember drinking a lot of Double Bag during that week but I had their white IPA thing too. Overall, definitely a cool stop if you happen to be in the area.
