A- This pours a very yeast hazy dark golden, almost light brown color! The head upon the initial pour didn't seem like it was going to amount to much, but actually reversed itself and became a smallish, yet dense and well retained, cloud of foam! There is many columns of fine looking carbonation rising to the top and the lacing is probably the weakest point of the appearance, really only sliding back into the liquid immediately. Decent looking overall!

S- There is a rich blend between sweet malts, bittering hops, and citrus fruits in the mix. The sweetness is comprised of caramel and/or molasses, while the Pacific Northwest hops used produce a fresh piney aroma. There is a citrus quality that is of fresh orange and pink grapefruit. It is long lasting overall and lingers in it's immediate airspace.

T- This follows the aroma profile closely, with a very well balanced palate. There is a subtle astringency at the back of the palate, that counters the sweet malt flavors. Again, I am detecting citric notes that cut through the heavy leafy hop flavors. There is also a yeasty smoothness that reminds me of sourdough bread....just a slight tang.

M/D- A very smooth drinking beer with a solid medium body, this would make a nice summer refresher, yet can hold itself against a medley of foods, and especially spicier fare. Its a nice melding between two of my preferred styles and I think has been done quite nicely. I would pick this up again and recommend it to all!

Serving Type - 650ml bomber, poured into a weizen glass

Appearance - Golden/straw coloured. Very deep yellow, unfiltered and hazy. Little to no carbonation is visible. Poured with 3 fingers of bright white head which fades quickly, leaving a moderate amount of lacing behind.

Smell - Wheat (obviously), and a strong hop character. Flowers, citrus and pine...scents nornally found in pale ale. An interesting twist.

Taste - Again, wheat is most prominent. This is my first example of the style, and while I keep expecting heffe flavors the heavy bitterness reminds me that this is not, in fact a typical wheat beer. Along with this comes a good deal of citrus and a pleasant amount of pine. It's sort of like...a cross between a heffe and an APA. Very unusual. Very good.

Mouthfeel - Heavy carbonation and a light body make for a light, crisp and refreshing beverage. Goes well with patios in the sunshine.

Poured into a tulip glass, this had a moderate white head, goes down to a thin film. Lots of visible carbonation colour is a bright gold, a bit of haziness and suspended sediment. Some lacing sticks around but would have liked more. 3.5

S – immediate hop aromas, juicy lemon and grapefruit, with some minerality, some sweet toffee notes and some mild nuttiness. Some estery fruit profile, a fairly clean hoppy aroma with lots of aromatic florals, and dry gf citrus, crisp biscuit malt with a slight creaminess as well. It is both really light and hoppy. 3.75

T – a fruity start, apples, citrus and a subtle pine undertone, lots of leafy and floral hops, with a creamy base balanced with a pronounced dryness. Some malty complexities and dry floral hops, these are mild and some of the hoppy oils struggle to get through past the raging carbonation. Really dries out at the end, mild grassy and citrus notes. Good mineral flavor initially, then heads into dryness with a bit of a herbal note. 4

M – lots of carbonation, very fizzy. Light bodied, almost aggressively so. Found this detracted some of the creamy body and let the dryness come to dominate a bit. Has a decent hopped up flavor ontop of this, but after one of these I think I would be reaching for something a little bodied. Very refreshing on a summer day though, much nicer after the carbonation edged off a bit. 3.25

Not my favourite style, but this takes a chance to shake it up a bit with a hop-infusion. This definitely got better as it got warmer, giving the aggressive carbonation a chance to mellow and the wheat to come out a bit more, after that it was a fairly enjoyable beer and showed off some more complex notes, still not all that balanced and maybe in need of a bit of tweaking, this was a pretty enjoyable beer and would be a good buy for someone into this style. 4

Troubled golden in appearance with a shy foamy lace that slowly let herself die.

Hoppy smell with fruity ester, grapefruits flavors are present

Shy in taste, watery and round in mouth, with a shy bitter finish, hoppy flavors are present.

Not as much fruity as other weissen, such as banana flavor, but a good hoppy version of it .

A pale straw colour. Cloudy enough to be opaque. Half inch of slightly yellowish white head. Excellent lacing all the way down the glass.

A strong wheat aroma with grassy and citrus hops.

The taste is more sour than bitter. The citrus taste dominates. Grapefruit.

A medium feel with good bite from the carbonation.

Overall this is the in the back half of the pack. The sourness is an unpleasant surprise. I will try another bottle this summer to confirm this review.

I am not sure that the heavy hops works in a wheat beer.

(4.25) A: Hazy pale amber colour with a tall, dense, and creamy head. Recedes slowly to a thin blanket while clinging in waves to the glass.

(4.25) S: Pine, juicy mango & orange, faint grains, and a rich buttered bread backbone. Very potent and fresh tropical fruit aromas are outstanding. Definitely more IPA than weiss in the aroma but regardless it is very enticing.

(3.75) T: Tart grapefruit, dry pine, lemon, faint spices, and slight grains. The juicy tropical flavours in the aroma don’t quite show up in the taste but instead is more of a citrus-like IPA instead that’s flavourful.

(3.75) M: Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Chalky and dry with a slightly acidic quality.

(4.0) D: Perhaps not a traditional weiss but rather an IPA-weiss blend. Whatever this is - it’s tasty. Definitely will have to consider this as one of my easy-drinking (sessionable) options. Very flavourful considering the ABV.

Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: cloudy gold with a three finger head that sticks around for quite a while.

S: wheat, pine, citrus and spice

T: follows the smell, wheat and grapefruit are up front, with spice and pine following.

M: medium to light carbonation and medium body.

O: a nice flavorful beer, makes a nice refreshing drink on a summer day. Wheat less prominent than I expected, but still a nice beer.
