Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass.

A: cloudy gold with a three finger head that sticks around for quite a while.

S: wheat, pine, citrus and spice

T: follows the smell, wheat and grapefruit are up front, with spice and pine following.

M: medium to light carbonation and medium body.

O: a nice flavorful beer, makes a nice refreshing drink on a summer day. Wheat less prominent than I expected, but still a nice beer.

650ml bottle poured into a pint glass. ABV 4.5%.

A - Poured a cloudy yellow gold with a 1cm white head, head reduced to a thin cap, good lacing.

S - Wheat, hint of spice, grapefruit, hint of pine. Definitely an American IPA hop profile.

T - Mild bread, some citrus, grapefruit, hint of pine. Found the flavour a tad weaker than the aroma let on.

M - Medium carbonation, medium body, lacks the body of other wheat beers, finishes mostly clean.

O - Considering the ABV you do get plenty of flavour. Certainly something that good be sessioned on a hot summer's day.

Thanks to a buddy for picking this up at the brewery. The bomber bottle pours a hazy golden colour with lots of head. Tastes of tropical fruits, with some citrus and pine coming through in the finish. Very smooth mouthfeel overall and I drank this in record time. Really refreshing beer and it was quite tasty. A well balanced mix of a american pale ale and weisse beer. I could drink this all night. Just wish this was regularly available.

Recent re-release. Purchased at the brewery.
This new batch will not be hitting the LCBO shelves.

A- Hazy gold colour. Dense, sticky snow white two finger head. Lacing is remarkable.

S- Right up front you get tropical fruit (grapefruit, mango, mandarin and some pineapple) than you get a nice refreshing dose of wheat. Very juicy smelling.

T- You first get slammed with tropical fruits and a touch of pine than the beer lightens and goes into pale wheat ale mode. The overall experience of this beer is excellent.

M- Light bodied, very refreshing, short lived bitter finish.

O- This is another one of those "I thought I reviewed this" I'm glad the brewery re-released this, and I'm glad I was in that area this week (I never am) I have another one in the fridge for later :D

Hazy pale amber body. Massive eggshell coloured head, lacy and very retentive. Fine carbonation streams steadily from the bottom of my tulip. Looks great. Aroma of grapefruit, mango, and wildflowers. Smells pretty hop forward, in an American C-hop kind of way. Tastes much the same as it smells. There is a delicate but perceptible wheat cracker character underpinning everything, but the hops are the star here. They may call it weiss, but this is no Bavarian-style wheat ale. This is an American IPA brewed with a significant proportion of wheat. It's tangerine and grapefruit forward, with a more tropical mango character coming in midway. In the back end, there is a leafy bitterness that that sticks around for awhile, especially at the back of the mouth.

Mouthfeel is the characteristic of this beer that most emulates a traditional weissbier. It's fairly light in body, with ample and fine carbonation. It feels soft. There is some hop oil slickness between mouthfuls as well. This is a well construced hybrid between a pale wheat ale and an American IPA, combining the light body and refreshing character of the latter with the hop foward aromatics and tropical/citrus flavours of the latter. Good beer.

Big props to my BA in crime, and the last guy to review this before me, for the beer shipment
A - a very hazy golden, big head that left all kinds of chunky lacing as it receded
S - a very fruity yeasty aroma, some breadiness, with strong grassy and piney notes, more like a Belgian IPA on the nose
T - an interesting mix of resiny and piney hops, grainy bready malt, with a touch of citrus rind and tropical fruits
M - big carbonation kick, mildly bready but the hop bitter is the key factor
O - an interesting style that is definitely more pale than wheat, although the later does compliment the brew, very flavourful and easy drinking, the label "wheat ale" is deceiving, but the categorization on BA is spot on

Cheers to peensteen for the suggestion and hook-up on this one.

A - Pours a chunky golden hazy colour, finger of head with solid retention and some sporadic lacing.

S - Sweet citrus hops, hint of pine, musty wheat and a touch of caramel corn.

T - Certainly more hoppy off the top with the citrus earthy pine notes dominating, some cedar, mandarin and wheat all come through on the finish. A slight bitterness lingers alongside toasted grain notes.

M - Good body carbonation, goes down smooth and finishes nice and wet.

O - What a gem. A hopped up wheat ale that packs loads of flavour and is certainly one of the better Ontario brews I've had to date. Most hop heads would appreciate this one.

660 mL bottle poured into a Sam Adams Perfect Pint at around 5C. Thank TheSevenDuffs!

A: Clear straw yellow with a nice white head that laces very strongly.
S: An incredibly hoppy nose. Fruity hops... Grapefruit, tropical fruits... A hint of apple juice later comes out.
T/M: The hop flavours aren't there. I think this bottle is about 2 months old so I don't know how much they've fallen off, but the real issue here is that the body has a metallic bitterness that is overpowering and lingers in a nasty fashion. Some wheat notes are hidden in the body.
O: Not having realized this was a hoppy ale, I was so pleasantly surprised by the nose. The nose was better than Gumballhead's but the body just didn't live up to nose... I wanted to love the beer. I'll try it again fresh, but it had better have a different body next time.

Bomber picked up at the LCBO. Glad to see this one finally made it to Sarnia; many other OCB offerings have not been so lucky.

Pours a dirty golden yellow colour, very cloudy with many particles of 'stuff' suspended in the liquid. Generates a solid two fingers of lofty, frothy white head that dies down over a period of minutes, leaving a foamy cap and collar with plenty of sticky lacing on the sides. Looks very good, especially for the style. The west coast hops are immediately noticeable on the nose; lots of juicy grapefruit and lemon citrus with plenty of piney goodness. The yeast and wheat malts are hard to pick up underneath this but they provide a mild, vaguely sweet background for the hops.

Bready wheat malts are the first flavor I pick up, but they are very quickly overpowered by the citrusy pacific hops in the second half of the sip. Lots of grapefruit, in addition to lemon zest and pineapple, and a resiny finish with some earthy, piney bitterness that lingers well into the aftertaste. Light-bodied, leaning toward medium because of the yeasty chew. Moderate carbonation keeps it feeling fairly crisp, but it's still smooth and exceptionally easy to drink like I'd expect from the style.

Final Grade: 4.1, an A-. A very drinkable wheat ale that has more in common with the average APA than other members of its style. Traditional? Not particularly. Delicious? You're damn right. This is a wonderful session beer, but given the price I'll probably just stick with this brewery's Crazy Canuck when I want a hoppy session ale. Great stuff, a very tasty example of a style that I do not recall ever being terribly impressed with in the past.

[Updated Sept. 23 2013]
Picked up another bottle which wasn't especially fresh, but I still loved it. Didn't see any reason to change the score, as this is still the best example of this style I've ever had the pleasure of trying. Worth the price.

pours a slightly murky light golden yellow. tons of foamy/bubbly head - leaves behind some nice even lacing

smell was awesome - super hoppy up front, citrusy, grassy.

taste was lemony, hoppy - began to pick up in bitterness after a few sips. also had a little bit of malt and wheat in the aftertaste. overall not really what i was expecting at all, but i definitely enjoyed it a lot. very drinkable, would recommend.

bottle from awesome girlfriend that picked this up in gatenaux.
The story on this is funny as hell. In a nut shell: This isnt from miami, nor is it a weiss, just something our marketing guys came up with. The label is awesome. Total 80s tv show theme.
pours a light yellow-orange color with a nice finger of head. Lacing clings to the side for dear life.
Nose is also really nice, great C hop aromas, citrus, pine, hay... best I have smelled coming out of our great white neighbor.
Taste is actually also quite nice. same, citrus, hay, pine... more hay and pine than citrus. Just noticed this is 4.5%?? this is possibly the best lower abv "ipa" I have ever had.
mouthfeel is thin, well carbed, but right for the style and abv.
this is a great beer. No ifs ands or buts. it is one of the best session beers I have had... ever. and Easily the best american pale wheat I have had... whatever that is.

Pours a bright yellow gold colour with good clarity and a dense pillowy white head. The aroma's dominated by citrus and some faint fruitiness from the American hops, smells quite similar to their Crazy Canuck PA actually. Lemony citrus hops are prevalent in the taste, which provide some moderate bitterness. The finish is tart and dry. Light, crisp body with refreshing carbonation. Showcases hops well, but lacks overall depth. Would be a great refreshing hop fix on a warm summer day.

Pours a very cloudy darker yellow, with a billowy white head of a couple fingers. Great spongy lacing adorns the sides. Crisp citrus aroma, with some light floral notes and some bread. Nice initial bitterness, with some citrus and grassy hop notes, light bready notes. Lighter body, slightly crisp, with a clean finish. Goes down smooth and clean. Tasty wheaty.
