Karma Citra IPA (American Style IPA) is one of the most talked about India Pale Ales in Canada for good reason. There is a lot of flavour packed into the orange-bodied 6.6% award winning beer. Notes of lemon rind, tropical fruits, soft pine resin and a touch of honey bound from the glass in both the aroma and taste thanks to a generous amount of the famous Citra hop. Deliciously bitter medium body, yet nice and smooth with a dry resiny finish.

Bright, clear, crisp
Firm bitterness and malty
No NEPA “juicy” cloudy soda-pop-tasting IPA here. It’s seasonal and worth the wait.
Highly recommend.

Tried a September 2020 can. Poured into a tulip a translucent honey gold pour greets thee with excellent collar. Fair nose here of citrus and malt but not as complex as I prefer. Taste is sweet and smooth; light hops around. Feel is light for an IPA. OK but the brewery has stronger contenders in its overall lineup.

L: Translucent medium light yellow, foamy head
S: Citrus and grapefruit hops, doughy malts
T: A bit bold but also a bit subtle. Slightly astringent resiny piney citrus pithy hops. Toasty caramel malts. It feels like it is really lacking something though, the flavour feels hollow. It's almost like it turns to water in your mouth as you swallow and leaves little aftertaste which I guess could be a good thing.
F: Thick foamy and a bit oily, coats your mouth, not too drying
O: Hate to say it but I feel this is overrated. The taste was not very special and really felt like it was missing something. Still an enjoyable beer.

I got a can of this beer from a beer store in Sault Ste Marie whilst there for my son's hockey tournament. It poured a hazy orangish with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with tropical fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

OMG. The aromas that waft up from the glass as the beer pours certainly sets the anticipation high. Loads of frothy head cap this clear, golden/orange beer. Sweet orange and citrus notes abound. Tastes of tropical fruit and oranges with a hop bitterness at the end. A little lacking in depth (by this I mean it could use a greater malt presence IMHO, but that is probably just a personal preference). Overall a hugely enjoyable beer that is hard to put down as each sip seems to compel another sip.

Single from LCBO in Kitchener, Ontario.
Pours a just slightly less than clear golden yellow with 2 fingers of off white shaving cream like head.
Aroma caramel malt, ripe orange, mango, pineapple, piney, slightly resinous.
Taste follows with tropical fruit, slightly piney/resinous, ripe orange, over ripe pineapple, moderate hoppy bitterness.
Medium full mouthfeel - smooth citrus bittersweet - orange/pineapple and touch of lingering bitterness.
