Pours perfectly clear amber with a nice frothy crème head. Flavor carries a decent grain body. Almost seems to be an alcohol bite there, but in actuality, it's not. Feel is smooth on liquid with a decent carbonation. Not a bad first beer to start off my French artisanal brew trip on.

Green cork and caged 75cl bottle obtained from Noel Cuvelier's Farm Shop in Belgium and shared with friends.

The beer was poured into four 'Schossbrau' pilsner vase shapped glasses, ones I often use for sparkling wines.

The beer suited the glasses, a huge snow white head of large bubbles covered half the glasses, below sat a clear golden body which looked very lager/pilsner like. The head left a lot of lacing as the beer levels fell.

Very little aroma, some hop esters and grass hints.

The taste had a lager/pilsner/helles feel to it, hoppy more than malty. I thought it interesting, different and most enjoyable.

Easy to drink (too easy) and glad I bought it, another good French beer.

750ml. bottle: This came from the local food store in France. It had a plastic cork that was just about impossible to remove. I wish that I had some pliers. It pours a clear golden color, with a bit of fizziness. There was a fairly decent head on it, but it went away rather quickly. Milder aroma, but pleasant. Notes of spice, grassiness, some malt. No real standouts. The flavor lacks standouts, but is a very nice blend. Some malts, citrus, bitterness, grassiness. This sort of grows on you. Not bad!

Beer bottle (75cl), tasted in 1999.
Appearance : Blond, clear, tight foam that falls fast enough.
Smel : malt slightly acidic (wheat).
Taste & Mouthfeel : Enough round, although this beer fills the mouth, moderately bitter.
Drinkability : it is one of the best 'bière de garde' in French

750ml bottle bought in the Bootlegger Paris, March 06...

Poured a pale golden yellow colour... Slightly off white head poured big and foamy then faded to almost nothing... little to no lacing...

Aroma - Juicy, spicy fruits (light pears, apples and grapefruits), biscuity malts, floral honey notes, sea saltiness, grassy, some wheat traces, light spicy hops...

Taste – Pretty sweet - maybe a little too sweet... light caramel malts, fruity (ripe banana, apples and pears), some sweetcorn traces, nutty, vanilla, creamy, floral notes... light salty aftertaste.. some spicy hops...

Feel - Quite smooth and creamy. Light body... A bit too sweet to drink too much of this....

Overall - An average ale.... probably worth a try though...

BBE 08-2007. Not too stable head and nice ambergolden beercollor. Nose is very citric hoppy, malts bit buttery maybe but IMO ok and makes it fuller and fits the name "Biere au froment". Further nice fruity yeastarome. Taste is nicely bittered though in beginning maybe bit overflowered by hops that are allmost pefume like. Lateron mostly dissappeared and makes brew more enjoyable. Bit sweet but well bodied. Enjoyable brew but alcohol is well hidden as this one comes to me like a mearzenbier or bayrisches vollbier.

A treat for myself on a trip to Paris, this bright and golden orange beer seems to have a light that shines from within. The head is weak, though, even in an etched Duvel glass. Nose is solid yeast, a pinch of sourdough with apples, melon, dandelion, and lavender. Farmy but not in the typical horse blanket way. More citric and pilsnerish in the mouth. Crisp and sharp but also roundly sweet from the malts. Fruity nuances of banana and baked apple abound, and sprightly carbonation gives this exactly the right character - substantial but fun, subtle yet pointed, light and robust. Quite a good beer from wine country. I'm glad I chanced upon it.

As noted previously, the bottle has plastic cork that was almost impossible to remove. Luckily I had a wine opener.

Pours clear pale golden with large white head, small patchy lacing. Aroma is sweet malty spice (clove), orange, wheat and perfumy hops, quite complex, but pleasant mix.

Taste is rather bittery lemony malt with the balance mostly towards the hops with sweetish finish and bitery aftertaste. The presence of alcohol can be felt. Mouthfeel is medium with significant, but pleasant and smooth alcohol warming.

Overall, not brewed according to the style as it has clearly too much of hops in the flavour, but other than that - very drinkable and tasty. The beer was quite expensive - 4 eur for 750 ml, but I will buy it again.

Pale golden yellow color, almost transparent. The head disappeared quickly. The smell was overly citric, with some dried grass and almost medicinal notes. The taste shows sone notes of wheat, but it i mostly citric, with grapefruit and lemon, and a strong persistence of orange peel. A grassy hoppiness. It tastes like lemonade, almost like soap. Overly sweet. The mouthfeel is decent, quite round, but this beer is still disappointing.

pours a very slightly cloudy yellow/golden colour, over an inch of head that left okay lacing behind.

smell is very malty, has a bit of orange/fruit, yeast, wheat.

sweet malty taste. some fruit, nice bitterness. decent carbonation and drinkability.

overall, it was pretty decent. had its moments but wasn't amazing.

A refreshing blonde beer with powerful aromas of wheat. Easy to drink. It reminds me of a wheat beer but it has his own qualities. You can drink this all year even if it it takes its full dimension on summer time. Don't expect a bobm but, overall a nice refreshing beer.
