Bottle poured into glass. See-through yellow like a shit beer, but significantly better. Half inch thick, white head. Smelled like an American light lager. Weak lacing. Decent beer, but not preiswert as the Germans say. "Price worthy", I'd rather save myself $2 and get a six pack of Keystone Light.

For the genre,..this is a strong effort...which is to say that this is an average brew. Pours light straw with a wispy .5" head that leaves faster than Teenagers at a party with cops pullin up. This is a watered down citrus/tart light lager. I must say it goes down smooth....a bit over-grainy....not sure if the clarity is where it should be. One of the better choices from this brewery but stick to the Hellas. Some berryness to the finish....and a little too much acidity.

A well executed example of the style. Color the expected pale straw. Carbonation was lively, with little head but a nice pattern of Belgian lace down the glass. Mild grain notes in the flavor, with a hint of fruity hops in the background. Finish was clean, tart and palate cleansing. Mouthfeel was a bit seltzery. Beerophiles will undoubtedly choose other offerings from the brewery, but this serves to placate the dedicated light beer drinker who tags along.

Color is light yellow in appearance. The smell is uneventfull and well lacking. Taste is that or a typical light beer and is no better that the standard one out there. Mouthfeel is watery and fizzy. Overall can any one brew a light beer that taste like a good primium beer. We can drink it but then again we will not look to drink it again.

My friend got this brew and then changed her mind after one drink. When it came there was absolutly no head and no ring left on the glass. The smell was very floral with just a hint of apples. The taste was very macro, zero hop bite with a clean watery finish. All and all a very refreshing beer, but a taste more macro than micro.

This beer (and I use the label beer loosely) takes Light to a whole new level. Had it not had the color and smell of a light beer I would have swore I was drinking water. I will note that I tasted this at a beer festival and was tasting a variety of styles so it might have been over powered, that didn't affect any of the other beers that day, but in the interest of fairness I wanted to note that.

The color and smell were dead on for the style. However, to say the taste was laking is an understatement of quite a large proportion. I would compare this to alcohol enhanced water.

The beer by no means had a bad taste nor did it leave me searching for something to wash it out with. Quite the opposite it left no taste at all. I hope this is better than what I actually taste, if not I would recommend going to the local grocery or convience store and picking up a 12 pack of South Paw Light over this beer.

Appearance - very pale yellow, practically void of any color at all. Frisky head spritzes up to a finger, then down to an incomplete cover. This almost looks too light even for a light beer.

Aroma - clean grain on the pour, going lighter after the head is gone. Par for a light, which tends to be sub-par in general.

Taste - grainy and lemony. Con't really tell if it's hops or carbonation after that, I'd lean towards the bubbles. Zesty, refreshing and unmistakeably tart.

Mouthfeel - light and extremely bubbly.

Drinkability - competent summer quencher but not my kind of session beer.

I had this beer at 2 different Smoky Mountain Brew pubs in Gaitlinburg, and Pigeon Forge Tn.

Very golden appearance much like you would expect from a light beer

Smell was fine not offensive

Taste was average lighter in my opinion than a normal Light beer

Felt like beer in my mouth which I liked

Very drinkable

Overall an average beer, but a good change from the normal beers, I always like to try different beers at Brew Pubs and this was not a dissapointment.

On tap as a sample (thank God) at the Brewgrass Festival.

I have a hard time reading some of the positive reviews about this "beer". This may have been one of the worst beers (micro or not) I have ever had.

This offering had absolutely nothing to offer....looked like dishwater a whitish/yellow thing with a foamy large bubbly head. Aroma, if you can call it that was not like beer but more of burnt corn/dishwater.

Taste---what taste?

Mouthfeel---What mouthfeel---Perrier has more mouthfeel than this!

D-You have got to be kidding---give me a BMC over this anyday---what an awful rendition of a light / crossover beer. If people coming to this brewpub are looking for a BMC clone this is not it, give them something to get started enjoying craft beer....the proverbial beer with training wheels...not water with training wheels in it!

Picked up a few bottles on a recent trip to the Gatlinburg Brew Pub.

Appearance - very pale golden. Almost wouldn't qualify it as a golden due to the extreme lightness.

Smell - Slight skunked

Taste - Bland. Typical and basic.

Mouthfeel - It's a light beer, what do you expect? Not much there.

Carbonation was next to non existant.

All and all, not very impressive.

This beer is everything it's supposed to be.

Light golden color, small head.

smells like corn juice.

Very light corny flavor with a little hops.

Feels thin.

Very drinkable, my wife can knock back a bunch of these.

All that said, this beer lives up to an American light lager. It blows all the BMC's right out of the water tho. I love Smoky mountain Brewery stuff, I think they're all well made, and hit the style right on the head.
