Had on tap at Smoky Mountain Brewery in Gatlinburg
A- Nice very dark brown, with very little head.
S- Roasted malts, perhaps some chocolate and caramel.
T- Very tasty, roasted chocolate malts with smooth caramel and perhaps hints of vanilla
M- Medium body with mild carbonation
D- Very high, I think it has a great flavor. I picked up some bottles of it to take home.

A: Pours a rich, dark mahogany with a thin, creamy khaki mousse that does not leave much lacing once it settles.
S: Aromas of roasted grain, dark chocolate, cream, leather, vanilla bean, roasted nuts, and earthy ale hops are present on the nose.
T: Notes of leather, cream, vanilla bean, toasted almonds, roasted chestnuts, and nougat are present up front, while mild notes of hickory, coffee, dark chocolate, black walnut, and roasted grain make themselves known at mid-palate. The finish is mild and smooth with roasted nut, nougat, vanilla, and leather flavors.
M: Very delicate and smooth in the mouth. This ale is medium-bodied, creamy, and velvety with subtle, gentle carbonation.
O: A very pleasant, easy-going, approachable porter. In the past, I have not been all that generous in my reviews of this brewery's work, but this ale is a pleasant surprise. Recommended.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass
A: Poured a dark brown. Small head, thin lacing.
S: Smoke, roasted malts, chocolatey
T: Almost exactly like the smell, chocolate and coffee notes.
M: A little thinner than I expected, but still good and creamy.
O: A really nice porter, wish I had picked a couple more of these up while I was in Tenn.
