Came here after a long day of hiking Mount Leconte. We were staying in Gatlinburg anyway, so figured we'd check this place out. Very much the feel of a ski-lodge pub. Big place, with two levels of bar and dining area. The food was okay, what you'd expect for a pub in a touristy area, I guess. We ordered a sampler of their beers and all of them were sub-par in my opinion, but again, aimed at the masses. I doubt the beer comes first here. In fact, I know the beer doesn't come first here because every table around me had a crying baby at it. They must have hated the beer even more than I did.

I honestly expected Gatlinburg to be more like a Jackson Hole, WY or North Conway, NH, but it's more like a hillbilly Vegas strip or Niagra Falls minus the gambling. At least downtown was like this, but as I drove out of that sad little town I was met with the same cheap tourist traps in places like Pigeon Forge. It made my heart sad.

Almost no beer in Gatlinburg, so then this becomes the place to go.

Came on Friday night after 10 PM with family and friends. The bar is upstairs, and it has a decent variety of home grown brews. The major downer was the music---so ridiculously loud that you cannot talk to anyone unless you get in their face. That ruined the good time for me. (Oh good. The band just stopped for a break with NO APPLAUSE--wonder why?)

They have decent pizza here. I suspect the other food is decent. Service is friendly.

The beer? It's drinkable. No award winning stuff but nothing bad. Just average. Of course I had to leave after two because I was hoarse from screaming at my friends across the table and almost lost my voice.

Beer lovers, this is a must visit if you are here. Unless you like live music to bleed your ears by, come when there is no band playing.

Pretty cool place. My wife and I just stopped in to try some beers before going up to Ober Gatlinburg. The atmosphere was really enjoyable but I can't say the same about the service. Don't know if it was just that night or what but it wasnt the best. Luckily it was the places only downfall. They have a pretty decent selection of beers for it being a small brewery. I got the Mountain Light beer and the Whitewater Wheat. Both were pretty good. I avoided the heavy stuff because we were going ice skating after. On the way out I picked up a six pack. They allow you to make your own assortment so I got the Cherokee Red Ale, Appalachian Pale Ale, Black Bear Ale, Old Thunder Road, Tuckaleechee Porter, and Mountain Light. Each were decent to good in their own way.

Excellent brews and quality food.

The pretzel with beer/cheese dip, pizza and brewmaster calzone were fantastic.

I was bummed to just miss out on the IPA but the App Pale Ale, Thunder and Porter are all great. While we dined in Pigeon Forge and missed the IPA there, I found that the Gatlinburg location had the IPA waiting for me on our way out of town. Hello growler fill.

Let me start by saying the service is always exceptional....none of the phony "Southern Hospitality" so prevalent in the area.

Downstairs is basically where they brew the beer and prepare the food. Upstair a bar that seats 12-14 and multiple tables. Happy Hour til 7:00....$4.25 for 34 oz monster mugs! Unbeatable.

I visit every time I come to town, and on every occasion I have met someone interesting! As stated above the girls behind the bar are superb!

The Black Bear Ale is my favorite (English Brown Ale). Though on this, visit I opted for the Winter Warmer and it was exceptional....tasted like a well brewed American Brown Ale. The Porter is average.

Pizza is excellent, meatball sub very good as well. My favorite side is the mustard potato salad.

As a few have stated below finding anything remotely interesting in Gatlingurg is a challenge. Avoid Puckers, Hogs and Honey's and Blaine's.

Visisted both the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge on a trip to Dollywood, and the surounding area.

Overall this was a great place to get some good quality micro brew beers. I really enjoyed the Mountain Light beer as at this point I was just starting to branch outside my Coors comfort zone.

The Gatlinburg one was more like a cozy pub, while the Pigeon Forge one was more like a commercial sports bar...both were to my liking cant wait to go back, and when I do this time I will be brinign some beer home with me!

I usually go here everytime I visit Gatlinburg. Its fun and I always have a great time. The employees are great. Love chatting with them. There is usually a band playing or some sort of music happenings. The food is nice, really like their pizza. The beer flats they offer are nice too. They have two different sizes, one containing more beers than the other. All there brews are tasty and reasonably priced. Their stout and porter are my favorite though. They alsohave have other beers that are not made in house. And the... liquor selection is very nice as well, good mixed drinks. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!
