Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a pale yellow color with a very thin head that fades almost instantly and leaves no lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of light pungent malts, adjuncts, grain and a tiny bit of hops.

T: The taste has very little to it, some grain and malt breadiness and some adjunct sweetness. There's a very mild hops presence. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp but not very smooth, light body, medium-to-high carbonation, clean finish.

D: Not tasty at all, doesn't go down very easily, not filling at all, mild kick, not a good representation of style, this is simply not a good beer in any way. (691 characters)

My brother brought a sixer of this back from vacation last week. Light straw in color with a white head. Corona like taste with a bit of hops and grass. Hey, this is a lawnmower beer after all. Salty, dry finish that left a bad aftertaste in my mouth.

Yuk. (259 characters)

Bottle: Poured a super bright golden yellow color lager with a pure white foamy head with light retention and light lacing. Aroma is dominated by corn adjunct notes with very little else to report. Taste is also dominated by sweet corn notes with some adjunct clearly coming through. Body is light with medium carbonation. This one is probably best left to drink ion the beach under on a hot sunny day. (402 characters)

This was just one really bad beer. It seemed very much like a Corona with a different name. I thought this might be sort of refreshing but I was wrong. Had a little corn taste in it and was very watery. The body was weak and there was a slight metallic taste in there. The finish left me with an odd bitter/skunk taste in my mouth. The sixer I got of this might have all been somewhat skunked but I guess that's what they get for making it in clear bottles. (457 characters)

The bahamas sucks! $6 a bottle for this. I figure i'm in the bahamas, should give it a try, i was wrong. Bright yellow appearence, urinesq smell. I can no say this beer did not have a taste, it certainly did and it wasnt good. Grainy, want-to-be sweet, no hop taste at all, thick malt. This beer summs up the bahamas. The bahamas are hot, slummy, everything closed on sunday, people are dicks, drive on left side of road, and dam expensive for what it is. Hate to be off topic but this is the "beer of the bahamas" and it certainly embodies many charechteristics of the bahamas in it's craftmanship and taste. For $5 a bottle, i'll take the bud light as bad as it is over this! (677 characters)

Poured from a 12oz bottle into pint glass.

A: Poured a pale yellow with less than a fingers worth of head that settled to nothing with no lacing at all.

S: I'm getting skunk.... Strong pungent malts, adjuncts, grain, corn and a tiny bit of hops.

T: Taste, very adjunct lager... some grain, malt breadiness and some corny sweetness. There's a very mild hops mid palette, but it is very light. The aftertaste is pretty clean.

M: Crisp, light with pretty heavy carbonation.

D: It is what it is... ABV feels pretty light so you could drink a bunch but why would you.... There is nothing here or maybe I need to be drinking this in the Caribbean... (648 characters)

This beer has absolutely nothing of note. Nothing stands out in the flavor which makes it easy to drin for hop-haters. It was a piss yellow in color with a thick foamy head that went away quickly. It tasted like a light lager, kind of fake hop flavoring. Nothing special, but nothing that made it very bitter either. It would be easy to drink but it's not something to pick up if you want great flavor. (402 characters)

[Best served in a Lager glass]

The pour was a pale yellow with a large (2-3 finger) fizzy white head that diminished quickly and had poor lacing.

The aroma was almost non-existent but did have a mild scent of a grain malt, a weak grassy hop and a moldy yeast with just a hint of caramel.

The taste was very lightly sweet and just a tad malty with a hint of caramel from the beginning to end and not much else. The flavor lasted a very short time with any aftertaste fading very quickly.

Mouthfeel was extremely light in body with the texture being rather watery and having a fizzy carbonation.

Overall a super light beer that did not have a lot of flavor. (660 characters)

During a vacation at the beach, it was a trade off for good seafood and crappy beer everywhere I went. When this showed up on the menu, I hoped it might be at least a touch more flavorful than the other swill. I don't know that I can say it was worse, but it was certainly no better. Light, fizzy and without much flavor to speak of. Had it been refreshing, that would have been something, but this was only boring. A Corona seemed sturdy by comparision. (454 characters)

So, this last weekend we decided to hit Fells Point and drink our way through. We didn't watch the news prior, so had no clue that monsoon-like conditions would soon follow. While "trapped" in Max's, I did my best to have several Fuel, Mad Elf, Samiclaus and other Xmas in July goodies. Once the rain ebbed and we prepared to leave, I hit the bathroom after asking my buddy for something, "lighter to rinse the pallate." When I returned to the bar, after some drunk college kid took over my seat to ask for an aluminum can of bud, this was awaiting me.

Looks of urine, both in the clear bottle and while poured into a glass. Since there was no carbonation, head, retention, and/or lacing, I couldn't help but think, yah this is urine.
Skunky macro aroma with a side order of burned egg
Overly, unnatural sweet light bodied brew. Grainy, doughy malts in the background. I don't know if there was any bitterness. I was only finishing it to make a point at the time, which I can't really remember right now.
If in the Bahamas, I'll drink watered down rum drinks and try to purchase that elusive Guinness y'all keep talking about. (1,134 characters)

From old notes. Pours clear light golden with small white head. Aroma of skunk and pale malts. Flavor follows with a blast of skunk and light corn flavor. Some sweetness from the malts, but overall this thing is nearly gag inducing. Dirty finish. Not a fan. In the Corona and Land Shark area here, maybe between the two. (320 characters)

This is the Bahamian equivlent to Bud. Kalik is by far the most marketed beer in the Bahamas. Unfortunately the marketing is all that it has going for it.
Piss yellow in color no head nor lace. Just a few bubbles rising.
Very little aroma and I can't get anything but a musty smell.
About par with BMC. It does have a crisp flavor and mouthfeel to it.
If you want to drink a Bahamiam beer as a novelty then I'd recommend one of the others. Lucayan Lager if you can find it. (473 characters)

Pours transparent yellow with white head. Aroma is grainy with a little bit of hop aroma. Can't taste much malt, but the corn is definitly there. There seems to be a lot more bitterness then most macro type lagers. Mou thfeel is pretty thin as you would expect and there's a moderate amount of carbonation. I wouldn't reccomend this unless there's nothing else available. (371 characters)

Picked this up while in Nassau. Not much going for it. Not bad to drink under the hot Bahamian sun, but that's about it. Very pale yellow, faint smell and not much taste except for a bitterness in the finish. Hey, the can will look good in my collection! (254 characters)

Appearance – Light and bright yellow in color with some visible carbonation and a James Brown head.

Smell – This one smells like a Latin American Heineken. The skunk wasn’t too bad, but the corny grain was revolting.

Taste – The sweet creamed corn flavor shows up here in force. The finish tries to be dry with a bit of hops, but fails miserably.

Mouthfeel – The light carbonation feels nice in the mouth, but the beer itself is ultra thin and hardly worth the effort.

Sinkability – If I was in the 90 degree Bahama sun and had already put away a half dozen daiquiris I might be able to finish this one, but tonight it’s going in the sink. (658 characters)

The beer is packaged in a clear 12 oz bottle with no apparent freshness dating.

The beer is a crystal clear, light yellow with a quickly collapsing bone white head.

Aroma is of grains, sulfur and cooked corn.

The taste is similar to the smell. There are some sweetish grains that are dominated by the sulfur\skunk taste. There are some hops in the distant background, but they quickly surrender.

The mouth is solidly average. Drinkablity suffers from the sulfuric overtones. Perhaps this would be better fresh at the source. I won’t seek it out until I return to the Bahamas. (590 characters)

Poured from can into pint glass at Atlantis resort in Bahamas. Golden yellow appearance with thin white head lasting only a short minute. Grainy aroma with mild carbonation and a hint of hop activity. At best, a beer you would drink on a hot summer day while mowing the lawn or while at a resort in the Bahamas where it was the only beer I had not already tasted. (363 characters)

Not a particualrly good beer. A watered down American Macro beer. All of the flavors are very light. Virtually no malt presence or hop detection. Cereal grains vaguely show in the aftertaste. A light metalic and fizzy taste and mouthfeel. Kind of like alka-selzer. If it weren't for the view of the beach, this whole experience would suck. (339 characters)

Light yellow, fizzy, clear beer. White head stays longer on a coke than this brew. Aroma and taste are weak. Very plain. Similar to Corona (but a step above it actually). I am guessing it is a lot better on a hot summer afternoon on a beach in Nassau than on a cold January night in New York.

Half a glass gone now. I am sorry, this is just like drinking water: You can do it, but it is pointless. Very little flavor. Super light body.

I'll give it another try if I am in the Caribbean, but i won't seek it out in the States. (533 characters)

It is what it is, an American adjunct lager that is fairly narrow on purpose, that purpose being the frequent refreshment choice of those visiting an island or hoping to reminisce on a trip. Why else would you grab this pale yellow headless beer? The aroma carries with it a little lightstruck quality that does peek out a little in the flavor. Speaking of flavor, this one has a ton of barley with little else. Finish is flat and watery despite the high carbonation. Aftertaste is fleeting, but there long enough to realize a touch of bitterness. With all that said, this buries Corona and is quite similar to Tusker. (618 characters)

From a bottle, pours a light golden color with a fizzy off-white head.

The nose is skunky, a little musty, corn and wheat. The flavor is what I would expect from a pale lager in that part of the world. Simple, a bit rough around the edges, just enough of a citrus flavor to make you wonder if it could be something more...Nope. Don't get me wrong, if I am sitting on a beach in the Bahamas, I may think this is good, clean, refreshing. But I don't think a setting can hide the flaws in this beer. (501 characters)

Pours straw yellow with a thin white head that descends to a thin patch. Typical/average macro appearance.

The smell is of sweet grain/cereal.

The taste is of sweet fizzy cereal and some rather bland grainy malt. Plenty of adjuncts with some sulfur. Tonic water finish.

The feel is watery/fizzy. Though there is some body to it for the style, it remains soildly light. Very light - expected, but enough sulfur sticks to tongue to make it rather unimpressive, even for the style.

This is pretty much flavorless. It's another seltzery macro mess for the most part. Might be quenching in the heat of the Bahamas, but there are macros out there that are better than this, if that is your thing. (702 characters)

I was just informed by a friend that this is apparently pronounced 'click'. Which is good, because the pronounciation in my head sounded like 'cow lick'.

A: Pale, pale straw color, minimal head.

S: Nothing in particular. If I were to describe it, it just sort of smells like 'beer'. Mostly cereal and steamed rice malts with a moderate sweetness to it. No distinct hop smell.

T: The first taste is water. The second is...water. I could go for a run and use this as a thirst quencher. Theres some, but not much, malt sweetness and just a dash of bitterness in the tail end.

M: Like crisp spring water straight from the source.

D: If you want a beer and can't be bothered with taste, this is your guy. (704 characters)

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass.

The color is a light gold with a slight white head that went away quickly. No lacing at all

The smell is pretty strong with some sweet corn flavor and and bit of a grainy rice flavor. Some hops do seem present.

The taste is as about the same as the smell. It is grainy and pretty abundant with a corn, rice and a bit of hop flavor.

This beer is not the best craft beer and would not be categorized as such but is a really fun light beer for hot weather. (503 characters)
