Appearance: Clear, medium pale gold, with a half-finger head that quickly dissipates.

Smell: Whoa… I feel like I just opened a box of Christmas candies. Sweet, sweet, sweet. Almonds, honey… I can’t get much else.

Taste: Well, it’s certainly interesting and unusual. The almond and honey sweetness combination continues to dominate, augmented by a big blast of vanilla. I can’t identify any hop presence at all.

Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied, and despite the sweetness, it finishes surprisingly clean.

Drinkability: It’s more drinkable than I would expect due to the mouthfeel, but if you’re not in the mood for a candy bar masquerading as a beer, you might struggle with this one. I appreciate the brewer’s creativity, but unless you’re looking for something to address a very specific beer need (maybe the last beer at a Christmas party), this might not be what you’re looking for.

A: The beer is relatively clear golden yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin white head that died down but never completely faded away.
S: The smell has intense yet pleasant sweet aromas of nougat along with notes of notes.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste is dominated by flavors of nougat and also has notes of sweetness, hazelnuts and vanilla along with hints of honey.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer was a pleasant surprise and has an interesting taste. The smell is extremely strong but luckily the flavors in the taste were a little more subdued.

Poured from 750 mL bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a clear, pale yellow with just a hint of white bubbly head that quickly recedes.
S: A quick half-second whiff of hops followed quickly by loads and loads of nougat. Not a heck of a lot of complexity here.
T: Watery, citrus hops mixed ackwardly with nougat. Nut and vanilla notes.
M: Watery and thin. Light body with a slightly unpleasant aftertaste (flat nougat and mildly sour grains).
D: If you love--and I mean LOVE--nougat, then you might like this beer. Otherwise don't waste your time. DP.

330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on apr´12. Bright golden color. White, brief, head. Intense fruity nougat to the nose, slightly yeasty/bready aroma. All flavors are dominated by nougat with a cloying sweetness. Medium body, medium carbonation. Even for a sweet-toothed the overall is fat, bland & flat. I´ve felt like drinking a Pale Lager with a fudge ice-cream ball inside.

Poured into a pint glass,

pale yellow to straw with thin white head

the aroma is of eggnog, unbaked cherry pie, toffee, and a little nutty. I really liked the smell but still not sure if it should have been coming off of a beer.

a little nutty and iron comes to mind, with a residual sweetness that sits in the back of the mouth.

drinks very thin no real body to speak of

I was very excited for this beer after opening and getting the first touch of the aroma, this subsided and got board with the beer.

Pours a clear orange/copper color with minimal ring of white bubbles. Scent is of almond paste as the name would lead me to believe, splashes of honey and powdered sugar, light splash of stale, earthy hops. Taste began with a quick and light sweetness along with the almond paste, doesn't last too long as it settles into notes of light honey and stale, dried hops. Thin and needs a lot more carbonation and a little more sweetness to come across a bit better. Fun experience, great scent, taste just didn't last too long.

A: Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a half finger tall white head. The head reduces to a very thin layer at the edges of the glass but never completely goes away. Moderate lacing is observed.

S: Smells slightly like a liquid candy bar - the aroma of the nougat is very present and intense. Lots of sweetness present including honey, vanilla, and definitely some nuts. Very enticing and very inviting aroma.

T: Flavor is might lighter than expected from the aroma - very light in flavor and kind of refreshing. You get hints of vanilla, honey, and nuts along with the nougat flavor.

M: Light bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Much lighter than expected.

O: I did not expect to enjoy this beer but I found it to be one of the beers I really enjoyed. Glad I had the opportunity to share in this one with friends. One of the more interesting beers I have ever tried and definitely the only nougat beer I have ever heard about. Really enjoyed the lightness of the flavor. Not sure it is something anyone would want to session, but it is one I would sample at another time.

pours an attractive brown tinged amber with moderate one finger head that fades to a film.
the aroma is like nutty(hazelnut, almond) maltball flowers. i think that about sums it up.
the taste has a lot of sweet flavored things going on. At every turn you think it's going to get cloying, but it never does somehow. there are notes of honey, vanilla, a few different kinds of nuttiness, light fruitiness (sort of like sam adams cherry wheat if you're familiar), kids breakfast cereal malted graininess. just a bit of bitterness really cleans up the finish.
the mouthfeel is a little slickly medium bodied with a moderate carbonation.
overall, one of the most unique beers i've ever had. in 750ml format it's a bit much for one person, and if you don't like nougat this beer will make you want to jump off a cliff, but it's well crafted ofr what it is and i'm glad i had the opportunity to try it.

impossible to finish the glass, this is certainly not a beer, and this shall not be called beer by anyone that ever drunk a beer...
it's appearance is like usual, without head, but it's not the most important...
It smell nougat... not beer... it taste like nougat... not beer... The mouthfeel is totally inexistant, and the drinkability is awful.

Is it a mistake from the brewer?

Served in a Dogfish Head snifter.

I am now one step closer to my homemade Cuvee de Snickers... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear copper topped by a half-finger of off-cream-white foam. The nose is a blast of straight nougat. Nothing else. Nougat, nougat, and more nougat. Death by nougat. Damn. I like it... The taste seems to literally water things down, the nougat still coming through but in a haze of mineral water. Not nearly as good as the smell would have me believe. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a watery feel. Overall, an interesting beer to say the least. I now kinda wish there had been some variation, some boldness on the tongue, just for the sake of it, but for what it is it's a lot better than you'd prolly think...
