Thanks to callmemickey for sharing this at the Philly Suburbs BA meet up.

This is a 1999 vintage bottle.

This beer is a very hazy straw yellow with just a ghost of lacing. This beer is explosively sour, tart, with a little vinegar. It's got a bit of metallic and plastic-y phenols. This beer reminded me a lot of DDG, which I had at the same taste if only because of the high amounts of acetic character in both beers. This beer though is much better with more bitter orange and lemon sip. I enjoyed this beer and it held up really well for a 12 year old beer.

750 mL bottle poured into a snifter. 1999 bottle.

Appearance - No head. Hazy orange body.

Smell - Cardboard oxidation. Citrus. Acidic. A little funky.

Taste - Starts off with a nice citrus flavor builds it gets very acetic quickly. Woody. Sharp sourness. Very intense. A little bit of pepper.

Mouthfeel - Low carbonation. Very sour.

Overall - One of the most sour beers I've had. I see why people like it, but it's not for me.

1992. #15355. Huge thanks to bluebetty for sharing. Reviewed from notes.

Zero pop on corking. Absurdly murky orange-brown with nil carb. Still.

Nose is palpably vinous and tannic, supporting juicy kumquat, sour apricot, lemon, honey and hints of nail-polish phenolics

Moderate acidity and a mellow mustiness form a solid canvas for lashings of chewy blood orange and grapefruit pith. Grows and grows over the course.

Satisfyingly meaty, with a lengthy buzzy acidity before a dry, tight finish.

Still in great nick. Big tannins, plenty of fruit and restrained sourness.

As of this paralleling golden yellow beer looks really nice in my glass. Crisp comes the noses if you love them and the acetic mess. Touch of honey citrus must get cobwebby basement, vibrant and bright. The flavor is sharp piquant. Sharp Tartness almost stripping my teeth but thank you very well, complex see what I Redonda. whatever, why might be a touch of dental flaws, underwear fruit mostly tart orange and lemon, lemon rind, nice. Overall, what an experience! Thanks for the hookup, Ryan!
