If you're looking for a fun bar with live music, Lucky Joe's is your place. Right in the middle of Old Town Square, it was one of the only bars open during the huge blizzard we had a few years back, so you know this place is hardcore. Beer selection is pretty good, all the local microbrews with a few decent beers on tap and a great liquor selection. I haven't really tried the food, so I can't attest to it. This is one of my favorite summer hangouts; nothing better than drinkin' a hefeweizen on the outside patio on a hot day, watching the beautiful women pass.

Well I was at Lucky Joe's a week ago with my friend Mike from the Adirondacks. Actually, not sure how acurate this review will be, for Mike and I landed here for food after, Odell's, New Belgium, Avagardo's, and the Pickle Barrell. Honestly, the burger I had was amazing. The beer was good. Can't go wrong with the local ( I mean 'in town') brews. The bartender who served us was nice and kept us goin with beer and food. I will definately go back to give a mor thorough review, but in the mean time know that it is a great place to grab good food and better beer. (Across the ped mall from Coopersmith.)

Joes is located in prime real estate in Old Town Ft. Collins. Usually crazy busy at nights and weekends, especially when schools in. Parking is crazy but drive around there typically is a open spot or close by there is a parking lot as well.
Once inside, that is if the doorman lets you in, the first thing that you notice is the bottom of your shoes. Peanut shell dusts the floor as patroness are encourage to throw shells on the floor. Located throughout the bar are big barrels of peanuts that you can take handfuls with you. The bar is nothing unique as beer signs and a wooded atmosphere all around and a few couches. There is a spot for a bad in the back. The best seat is at the bar as the bartenders will hook you up, but you have to come early for prime locations.
The service is good. The bartenders are usually very nice and willing to talk/listen. The wait staff is typical and not really educated per say. The food is typical bar food with plenty of fried food and sandwiches. Joes is more of a bar then a restaurant.
The beer selection is good. Lots of Colorado selections including some obscure stuff from New Belgium and Odells, which both are down the street. If visiting Ft. Collins Lucky Joes is a good stop as per its location in touristy downtown and its really laid back style.
