I stopped in here after watching the Inspection of the guard which is very interesting AND there are much fewer tourists than at the actual changing of the guard which means you can get closer and take much better pictures. Anwho, while we were there, they had Youngs Ordinary, Fullers London Pride, and Deuchars IPA on cask. All were in good condition. The staff were also quite pleasant considering they probably have to deal with MANY tourists on a daily basis as this is really close to Buckingham palace. If in the area, pop in and check this one out. (556 characters)

We stopped at the Bag 'O Nails mainly because we are such fans of the Old Bag of Nails in our hometown. It is located right around the corner from Buckingham Palace, so it should be easy to get to from the Tube, tour bus etc.

The pub occupies the corner of a street and the exterior has a nice collection of hanging plants. Inside it is very dark, and there is a nice collection of breweriana around. Like many pubs/taverns in London, they also have an electronic gambling machine of some kind.

The beer selection is pretty good here. The regular draught beers are pretty typical, such as Guinness. However they have a regular selection of 5 cask-conditioned beers, which I found to be great. Selections like Adnams, John Courage, Theakston, Bombardier etc. That alone made this a worthwhile stop. The bottled beers are mainly UK.

The service here was pretty good. You order your food and drinks at the bar and they bring the food to your table. I found this type of service to be pretty common in London.

The real test for me was the Fish 'n Chips, as I have never found a plate that I like more than the one served at the Old Bag of Nails in Worthington, OH. It was indeed very good here, but I have to say still not as good as the local one. Overall I am glad to have checked this place out. (1,306 characters)
