A headless violet-rust.
Potently aromatic. Cognac. New shoes. Rotting berries. Tar. Gooey, gooey toffee. Vanilla. And oak.
Oozes into the mouth and detonates. Massively sweet. Like fruit punch, if fruit punch was made with plums, blackberries and raisins.
Vast oceans of molasses with inlets of caramel. This is aged a year in Jack Daniels barrels. It shows. It wears its woody vanilla-infused caramel Tennessee Whiskey hues like a crown. Leather and suede hues add further nuance.
This is malt cubed.
Hopping does not stand a chance.
It's remarkable that despite being noncarbonated and monster sweet, it manages not to cloy and to dry itself out in the finish, mostly by way of the brandy/bourbon alcohol tingle.
This is easily the thickest, most viscous beer I've ever encounted. It literally stains the glass. The alcohol is done well, however. It tingles the mouth, but doesn't burn.
Akin to SA Triple Bock, but this time done right.
As a sipper, this has quite a lot of drinkability.
It is a special one.

Deep crimson tinted brown in the snifter. Absolutely no carbonation but sticks to the glass like a good cough syrup.
Aroma is rich and sweet with big notes of cherries and dark fruits on the nose. Vinous and intoxicating nose. Squeezes the nostrils with it's gooey core. Hints of caramel and dark toffee.
Sweet up front with lots of cherries, raisins and dates. Much like a dessert wine with shriveling grape-like sweetness and a big warming glow of alcohol, but passes through without astrigency.
If the glass wasn't a clue-in, this one leaves your mouth coated in sugary goo. Delightfully smooth and creamy.
A great sipper, I could have had this all night. Despite its potency, it was easily enjoyable.
