12oz draft, fitchburg
i'm not sure that i am rating the right beer...the menu said stoner's but the updated board just read "oatmeal stout"
appearance: pours a rich dark brown/black colour, with a gorgeous full khaki head (which was the theme of the night at the dane)...looks wonderful
smell: terrific aromas...super heavy on the oatmeal, medium-dark coffee roast, sweet chocolate aromas
taste: pretty fantastic, one of the better oatmeal stouts around if you ask me....flavours are quite bold, dominated by a medium roast coffee, followed by a sweet toasty oatmeal flavor, and matched by a milky chocolate tone
mouthfeel: creamy and milky, medium bodied
drinkability: very drinkable, a fine brew all around

Fresh growler: Opaque dark brown nearly black. Thick and dense, heavy set one inch chocolate brown top. Keeps its mass for a good duration and the lacing coats the glass in lots of thick webbings.
Aroma is a very nice array of medium roasted malt, cocoa, oatmeal sweetness, and a small bit of frappucchino ice cream. Remarkabley clean and soft, yet holds its own weight with might.
Taste is oh so nice, very well balanced, creamy and soft on the tongue with a general oaty sweetness that fits perfectly with the gentle amount of roast and chocolate. Surges of vanilla seep around the corners that helps add an addtional cookie dough, brown sugary sweetness among the top and finish. Smooth finisher, oaty sweet residuals slide off the end as caramel laced frappicchino roast mixes with vanilla ice cream. Wonderful taster!
Feel is unbelieveabley thirst quenching in rich creamyness. Has delicate carbonation that soothes forever across the palate. Ice cream-like or perhaps a melted malt shake texture thats not overly thick for a stout but somehow keeps an eager, thickly set creamyness that wonderfully coats the entire mouth with silky oats, chocolate, vanilla, and lightly roasted creamed coffee.
Great drinker too, smooth, soft, soothingly creamy with a thickness that makes you slow down a bit for full enjoyment.
This is one outstanding Oatmeal Stout, possible one of the best I've laid my lips to. Its smoothness is beyond words, so silky and creamy with a good load of balanced flavors that are intensely mild. Absolutely awesome stuff!

Bulky dark brown mass, bordering opaque. Thick tannish-brown head forms and slowly recedes to the edges.
Sweetish aroma filled with chocolate and faint coffee. Breakfast caliber, doughy oatmeal aroma. Roasty and wide open. Hits the mouth easily, bringing out light sweetness in chocolates and bready malts. Some dark brown sugars combining with oats and coffee. Hop bitterness is apparent but well within range, no real flavor additions.
Smooth to the core, light and delicate carbonation. Medium-full body, but not too thick. A very easy drinking stout, nice flavors, well-rounded.
