Another new beer from Cumberland Brews.

Served in an Imperial pint glass, dark copper with reddish hues, light tan 1/4" head that was not very long lasting, minimal lacing. Not heavily aromatic, but a nice toasted malt smell with notes of carmel and nuts, slightly smokey.

A pretty mainstream Scottish ale, malty, some sweetness, a presence of hops in the background just enough to offset the sweetness and balance the brew. Again some carmel notes. Above average mouthfeel, slightly heavy but not cloying.

Easy to drink, smooth with no unpleasant lingering aftertaste.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 1/4 inch head of an off-white color. Slight retention and decent lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of coffee, and hint of hops. Fits the style of a Scottish Ale. Mouth feel is smooth and clean, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of roasted malt, sweet malt, slight hops, and hint of grain.
