Downtown, college town, one of multiple Iron Hill locations in the area.

Outdoor tables and seeting as you enter...comfortable, clean, well maintained sort of place. Decent sized seating area, raised bar tables and nice wooden bar tot he right as you enter.

Extensive food menu, featuring a "healthy" menu, which I greatly appreciated as well as the burger, soups, salads and other assorted entrees that you would expect in a quality brew pub and restaurant.

Beer wise they are putting out a half dozen house regular brews supplemented by another 6 seasonal options. Add to that about a dozen of their brews available in bottles (to drink there and/or to take home, and they have your beer choices covered quite well.

Well run joint, you get the feeling that they know what they are doing and they are having a fun time doing it. Well worth a visit (853 characters)

Went to the one in Newark, DE right by the University of Delaware. This was right around Easter 2015 so I think school was a bit slow at the time and the place was about 75% full. Noise was acceptable, service was attentive, and the beers were OK. Maholo, Apollo! was our favorite. Had the Pig Iron Porter on cask and it seemed weak.

The place looked like a normal restaurant + bar. There wasn't really anything that made it stand out or seem like a brew pub, I think the Wilmington location is better for that. Food was actually pretty good, though. (551 characters)

Unfortunately it seemed like this place is a restaurant first and then a brewery. None of the beer strayed away from what would be considered old standards. IPA's, Lagers, Wheat, no stouts on tap. The pizza I ordered was great and the food along is worth it, but don't expect anyone pushing the envelope of beer. (312 characters)

I made the stop here with a few friends from Central PA as we jumped around Maryland and Delaware for the day.

The street entrance was nice, as it was in a building by itself. Upon entering, the inside is set up like other Iron Hill locations. A big area with tables for those who want dinner and a big bar with tables for those who want to watch TV.

The selection here was pretty normal, but normal for Iron Hill is great anywhere else. They had their year round offerings and few specialties. I had the Pumpkin Ale and an American IPA. I also remember Red Dawn (elderberry saison) and a Tripel. The two beers I had were fresh. My only complaint was, when I asked for a sample of Red Dawn the glass had a lot of dish detergent smell coming out.

The bartender was a nice guy. He said he was covering from the Wilmington location. That's cool that they can go back and forth and still have the same operations. He offered us samples, was quick to refill our glasses, and answer any questions we had. There was also a beer leak while we were there. The brewer didn't make a big fuss about, but he cleaned it up very quickly.

No food this time, but the menu looked the same as other locations.

I enjoyed myself here, but I think I like the Lancaster location a little better. It's probably because I've been there a few times, but oh well. The Newark location does not disappoint with their service nor their beer. (1,417 characters)
