NO head--it's more like a whitish discoloration on part of the beer's surface. Now I read the beer list, and this one is described as "easy to drink" and "a nice introduction to microbrewed ale." Well, maybe this one is hitting the mark for what they advertise--it would be a seamless transition to go from Michelob Ultra to this ale. There's not much color and no visible carbonation. It looks like watered-down apple juice. Before drinking I search for an aroma, but I'm no bloodhound. Hey, at first taste it's not bad--oh shit. Where did my beer go? This one wins the "ghost beer" award for having no body and no character.

A: Straw-golden. Good head that dissipates quickly and doesn't lace much. Low carbonation
S: Very floral bouquet with hints of biscuits and honey.
T: Very sweet and floral upfront with a bready center and a clean, creamy finish. Not much aftertaste. It's straightforward, but delicious.
M: Consistent throughout--medium bodied and smooth. Texture/flavor-wise I love the progression from sweet to biscuity to creamy.
D: Wow! I love cream ales, but here is a truly flavorful, refreshing brew! I could down these all afternoon and still feel light. A great beer with which to start of finish the day!
Are Cream ales the most underrated style of beer? An American original that needs avatars to earn it a reputation in the pantheon of great beer styles? If so, Rockslide's Kokopelli is a great point to start in reclaiming that stature and heritage.
