I have gone here a few times over the years. I usually go to the Pumpstation as it is closer. They always have a ton of beer on tap. They do a sampler for $6 which is not a good deal at all as the sample sizes are TINY. Better off just getting a pint or two. The pints are reasonably priced with a beer of the day for $3/pint instead of the usual $4. Growlers can be filled up as well. The imperial stout cost me $10 for a refill. They let you fill up other people's growlers which is important.
The food was good and the fries were beer battered to hell and were awesome. The deck is nice during the summer for sure. Definitely worth a stop.

Stopped here for a repeat visit. On our first visit (a Friday night) it was jam packed. We only sampled appetizers and drank at the outside bar. The apps that we had were good. This time we made a lunch trip while visiting RPI. The ambiance is good: I love using these old brick buildings for things like brewpubs. I never get tired of being in a place like this. Service was excellent. We had sandwiches for lunch. My wife had the French Dip, which she said it was one of the best she ever had. My Hickory Chicken was top notch. The beers are pretty good too. Worth a stop!

Went here for lunch. Had 3 little kids with me and the wife. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable about the beers. Tried a flight with all 7 beers they had on tap. All were good, nothing crazy just typical basic styles (eg Brown, IPA, cream, oatmeal stout..) well balanced. I'm a hophead so I was disappointed but understand that's not what they are about.

Overall, good food, service, and average beers. They also seem very locally oriented which I can appreciate.

visited later on a Friday night for some drinks. I have been here in the past for a couple of concerts and a banquet.

they've got a two story dining area, then a big bar in the back, then a deck with more tables. that night they had a band playing outside in the nice weather, with a view of the Hudson River.

The beer is good, but nothing special or creative. They probably had about 10 beers on tap, across standard styles. Bartenders were fine.

This place kind of disappointed me. The outside seating did not have a cover over it and it was raining so everybody was packed inside. There are two levels but only one bar so it was packed all night, making it very difficult and irritating to get a drink. That being said, I did like the fact that there were two levels to hang out on and last time I was there (before I was 21 so I didn't get beer & rate it) the outside seating did have a cover on it and it was very nice.

The beer selection was good; 12 beers on tap. The quality of the beers didn't impress me too much but their IPA was pretty good. The servers were nice but service was bad because the bar was so crowded. Prices weren't bad. I got a flight of 8 for $7.99.

Overall, I think that when the outside seating is open, this would be a place I'd like to hang out at. Wouldn't hurt them to find a way to make it possible to at least order drinks from the second level though.

A great little brewery in Troy.

Went with my Dad a few months ago, we ordered a couple of huge flights to try everything. The beers ranged from so-so to outstanding. The whiskey porter, oatmeal stout, and the regular porter were standouts. Liked the cherry raspberry ale, the harvest IPA, and the oktoberfest as well.

Didn't try much of the food, though it looked pretty good. Just got a nice warm pretzel- the spicy cheese and mustard that came along with it, homemade, was amazing.

Prices on everything was very reasonable. Worth a stop for sure!
