This is the closest thing you'll find to a beer milkshake. Pours a rich dark chocolate with a creamy dense head. Not a lot of lace or head retention but this stout is all about chocolate. Over the top chocolate in the intial taste combined with some lactose milk sugar then restrained with the bitterness from the highly roasted grains. Everything comes together to make a smooth, flavorful stout that only gets better with a few more.

This poured a very dark, almost oily brown color. Typical small nitro bubbles on the head, which was tan. The aroma is sweet: the chocolate comes through. There is almost no roastiness here. The taste is very creamy. Strong notes of chocolate. Suprisingly hit of hops in the aftertaste. A fine dessert beer!

Served as a 5 oz. sample at Red Star. The color was black, with a ring of tan head. The smell was a roasted malt, with a nice lactose bitterness. The taste was a very nice lactose bitterness balanced with a slightly sweet chocolate that comes through ever so slightly. Mouthfeel was nice and thick. Drinkability-wise, could definitely have a few.
It's probably not fair to call this a nitro beer, as there wasn't much in the blend....just enough to keep it nice and full-bodied. Still, a fantastic beer, and certainly one that I'll have again.
