Appearance: clear yellow in color with a 1/2" head. No lacing develops.

Smell: very little aroma here as only some grass tones are all that is detectable.

Taste: mild malt base with some grass, green grapes, and some mild hop bitterness make up a standard blonde ale that anyone can drink.

Mouthfeel: lighter in body. Crisp throughout. Very short aftertaste, almost clean.

Drinkability: I can see the people who enjoy macros liking this beer. It has a mild flavor profile which may bore some but this was nicely drinkable.

Explodes out of bottle, filled a large mug with foam that went all over the counter but it faded quickly leaving traces of lace. Hazy amber color. Light carbonation and light bodied. Slight malty nose. Flavor is boring, slightly watery, some sweet malt, maybe adjuncts, strange golden. $1.50 for a 12oz bottle from Manchester Wine and Liquors Manchester, CT. Contract brewed by Mercury Brewing.

Received as part of the Amazing Clubs Beer of the Month club July shipment

Pours a pale golden color with a half inch head into my SA Boston Lager glass. Smells like a typical golden ale. Nothing outstanding.

Taste is mostly barley malt, but it has a nice, crisp, citrusy finish.

A well balanced beer. I could drink a few of these. It's not my favorite style, but I think it's a good example of the golden ale style.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a pale gold color, with a large white head that fades quickly and leaves a spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma doesn’t have much to it, light malts and a touch of hops.

T: The taste is also very simple. It’s light but bready with a very faint hops presence and a thin malt character. The after-taste is slightly sweet even thought there isn’t much sweetness present at first.

M: Smooth and a little crisp, light body, very high carbonation, finish is clean.

D: A little tasty, goes down easily, not filling at all, mild kick, there isn’t much to distinguish this beer from your common fizzy-yellow-beer, so I’m not sure that I’d ever drink it again unless my choices were severely limited.

Poured a hazy golden color with moderate white creamy head. No lacing as the head slowly fell.
Smell is extremely light, with onlt a very faint sweetness detected.
Taste is also slightly sweet, but a firm bitterness slowly grows as the beer warms and the glass empties.
The finish is all about hops with a profound enjoyable bitterness at the close.
This beer greatly improved the more of it I drank.

Not too thrilled with Glacier Gold in general and I’ve been through almost an entire six pack over the last few weeks. Looks great, nice head, that’s all good. Nose is certainly hoppy, unfortunately it also carries a fuel-like quality that I can only associate with a dry hop gone wrong. The only other time I’ve come across this was with one of my homebrews when I accidentally siphoned some hops from the fermenter directly into the bottles. I could be wrong about this but at least that’s my personal association with the fuel-like smell and taste, which this beer has in abundance. I did notice some floating sediment, which may have been hop particles… Almost a metallic taste and mouth-feel as well, both associated with the hops, but of an unpleasant nature. Industrial/chemical rather than herbal/organic. On the up side, it’s clean and drinkable and not too alcoholic, if that’s what you’re looking for. I’ll also say that as a result of what I’ve already noted, it is distinct from other light ales I’ve tasted recently.

This one is a little weird, It poured cloudy with almost no head. like a bad wheat beer. Smell is clean but has a slight bit of "funk" deep in the nose. That "Funk" seems to manifest itself in the aftertaste of this brew, that and a bit of hops and malt. It's not offensive or undrinkable, just has a weird aroma I can't really indentify.

Overall, it's not that bad. I couldn't see myself going too far out of my way to get this again but if offered I wouldn't turn it down

So dissapointing because I liked Endurance Pale Ale.

A: Pours a bright, but hazy gold with foamy 1" head.

S: Very light aroma - some hops, some toasted malts, but not much.

T: Grainy malts, with some hops. There may have been some citrus notes going on as well. Honestly, it reminded me of a macrobrew.

M: Thin, and a bit prickly. Clean, dry finish.

D: Easy to drink and probably a good session beer. However, I was so put off by the lame taste that I won't pick it up again.

Pours a cloudy golden. Thin white head, with some retention, and good lacing. Smell is of grassy hops, and fruit. Body is thin, and carbonated. Taste is mildly hopped, with a nice malt balance. More tart than bitter. Some fruit tones throughout. Had a bit of a bad after taste, othe than that, not bad.

This was a live one...thought it was erupting. Huge white head billowing up ,and after several minutes settleing to a ring of foam. Hazy gold in color.
Smell is earthy hops mostly...borderline funk.
Taste is very doughy with a lot of grassy hops...not really bitter , but flavorful. Yeasty and wheat like with some subtle fruit. This actually makes me think of a much toned down XX Bitter. There is a mild hint of grape and it finishes on the sweet side.
Mouthfeel is low / medium ...carbonation is pretty high.
I think this would be a good summer brew...it's pretty refreshing, ... I can see myself having a few of these...doesn't seem to be very high in alcohol.

The beer pours a hazy blond color with a towering white head that quickly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a light pale malt scent along with a mild hop aroma. It's a bit grainy and dry. The taste is average. It has a bland malt flavor that is easy drinking, but not very exciting. It's devoid of any real character, besides the hops. It's quite bitter and grapefruitish. The mouthfeel is terrible. It is a low/medium bodied beer with way too much CO2. This is a very forgettable beer. It's one and done for me.

Glacier Gold pours a clear yellow color with some orange hues mixed in. A small frothy white head forms on top and leaves behind a few spots of lace on the glass as it dissolves. The aroma has notes of toasted malt and an odd spice that reminds me of mustard. It's probably the glacier hops.

Each sip of this medium bodied beer has more body than I expected. I thought it would be thinner like a lager. The flavor has a nice toasted malt and yeast taste with some light honey sweetness in the middle. It finishes with a crisp hoppy bitterness that again has hints of that mustard spice. The hop spice lingers for a little while after the beer is gone.

I was convinced this was a lager until I saw the description at the top of this page. It's easy to drink with a decent flavor that doesn't fill you up. A great beer for a hot day.

AP: Extremely active with lots of large bubbles streaming up to create a 1" tall frothing head. Straw/Golden color.

Nose: A hearty, wheaty and yeasty dominated scent with a mild earthy hop.

Taste: A mellow and hearty combo of yeasty and wheaty malted flavors mixed with an herbal and earthy mild hop. Finishes with a mildly sweet hop and a yeasty-sweet aftertaste.

MF: Very crisp and clean, decent bite and as promised it is rather refreshing.

DA: Session beer for sure.

Poured into my pint glass from a 12oz bottle. Pours clean and gold in color. Tastes very fresh, pure and clean. Not as wheaty as some blondes but quite a lot cleaner in both taste and aftertaste. The mouthfeel was strong and rich and I could certainly see drinking down a whole bunch of these in one sitting.

12oz bottle from Shoreline poured into a weizen. Delicate off white lacing atop a hazy golden body.

To the nose, there is not too much to speak of. Initial malty sweetness with a slight floral/citrus bouquet.

In the mouth, the malts are prevalent but not over sweet. More grainy as it warms. There is a noticeable hop character that adds a little juice to the whole thing. Strong citrusy undertones that give it just enough of a bite. It's tasty - but hard to put in any one stable.

The feel is light and fizzy - but with a somewhat substanital body. it covers your mouth and is not metallic or tinny. It finishes clean and dry - with a grassy organic nature.

Musings: Hard not to like this stuff as a summer quencher. However the price point somewhat prohibits that.
