750ml foil/crown/cork bottle at 41 F poured into a pair of large snifters.
Pours opaque with a fluffy, creamy looking light brown head. Strong retention, not much carbonation. Smell is cherry sour in abundance. Some woody/smokey, but muddled by the fruitiness.
Taste is interesting. Something about it reminds me of fluffy marshmallows. Tart without being jaw-clenching. Some bitterness, like apple skin.
Mouthfeel is fluffy and pleasant. Overall, not bad at all, for a first sour attempt (in a not well known "our category") -- as far as I know, anyway.

750ml bottle, split, GO IRISH
appearance: served in a delirium chalice, nice mahogany body, creamy off-white head with light lace
smell: tart sugars hit first, metal, roasted malt
taste: immediately more impressive than my first sampling (tap - belgian beer fest) - a nice tarntess present, smoky malt, sugar, a touch metallic, caramel
mouthfeel: tart, sweet, complex
overall: good stuff - kind of an odd beer- nice sour traits in a scotch body

750mL into a tulip. Pours a clear cola brown w/ a crackling 1-finger khaki head that settles slowly to a white collar.
Aroma is tart and fruity. Sour cherries, dry vinous oak, a whiff of vinegar.
Taste is wonderfully complex. Sweet fruity fermentable sugars interplay with sour lactic acidity. Wine, oak, fresh bread, sour cherries. Brown sugar and molasses too. Changes with every sip. Reminds me a little bit of Collage.
Mouthfeel is equally complex and balanced. Simultaneously sticky and dry. Finishes smooth and clean.
Overall, one of the best sweet/sour beers I've had. Highly recommended.

Remarkably complex, smooth and balanced sour with lots of red wine tannins, sour cherries, figs(revealing its Scotch Ale beginnings),and the requisite horse blanket and funk. A really big surprise and delight from Silver City. A truly world class brew.
