Great little package store that is very close to my cottage. They seemed to have a lot more space reserved for wines, but in the back there was a lot of cooler space with a good number of NE 4 pack of cans of craft varieties. Also saw some shelves with unibroue bombers and other stuff. Quite pricy but given the location it seemed fine to me. Just grabbed a quick 4 pack of double IPA and a pack of cigs after we went to the Barn Bistro for dinner up the street. I will probably stop in again before I leave and get some Sip Of Sunshine for my luggage.

No one comes to the Vineyard with great beer as their priority "to do or must see". But, after seeing the cliffs, swimming, biking, etc., do stop at Jim`s Package for some good beer. You can pick up a couple bombers from Offshore Ale House (MV), Cisco (those guys due east in Nantucket. Aside from the island beers, they carry High & Mighty, Unibroue, Sam Adams, Delerium, Orval, Sierra Nevada, Smuttynose, Harpoon, others. For being on the island, it is a good departure from only BMC. And since it is the island, is a tad pricey, but not too bad.

Packaged goods store, part of a gas station. Located in downtown Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vinyard.
Not a giant selection of beers, but you can get six packs of Offshore IPA and Lager. Also, they carry Buzzards Bay Pale Ale. Not too much really out of the ordinary...they have the standard NE brands, incl Harpoon and Long Trail. They do not carry the Nantucket made beers, though, which was a disappointment and surprise to me.
Decent wine selection...we were surprised to see Gloria Ferrer wines, from Sonoma County, available here (I have never seen it anywhere outside of California before)....you can also get Chicama wines in this location as well, if you don't feel like hiking out to the winery on the island. Unless you really want to see the winery and do a tasting, it is much easier to just purchase the wines here than to drive down the mile and a half bumpy dirt road to get there.

Understand, I am basing this review on Island perception. The prices are higher, but better than anywhere else on MV.
The beer guy, Cliff will order anything you want. Awesome guy!!!
They regularly stock great locals like Offshore Ale, Paper City, Watchu, and some brewery from Nantucket, tons of Maine and NH stuff, DFH, Stone, Tuckerman and the usual suspects. He has a great selections of cold large format too like Stone, Sierra, Sam, Harpoon 100 BBL. They also have a small but decent Belgian Selection. Of course they sell a ton of the macros too, but who doesn't.
All in all, it's the best store on the island although, the one up the street still sells 5 times the volume, but has 1/5 the selection. uggg
When on Martha's Vineyard, shop at Jim's in Oak Bluffs and you will not complain about finding only standard beer on the island.
Yeah, and it is only 500 yards from the brewery...
