Magic Hat Humble Patience was served from a 12 oz. bottle. In a pint glass, the beer was a rich and deep mahogany red-brown, and was topped by a sticky off-white head. The enoyable nose was lightly roasty with sharp coffee-dark chocolate maltiness. On the palate, roasty coffee malts open up with a nice sharp edge, then gained a bouncy limey citric-resiny hoppiness in the transition to clean coffee-mollases finish. The mouthfeel was full-bodied with an energetic carbonation that worked well with the hoppy components. Humble Patience is an enjoyable and well-crafted brew.
