12 oz. bottle. Poured into a clear tulip.
While I am huge fan of Vermont craft, I am not a fan of Magic Hat or Long Trail.
This beer is a nice light effort, but would not seek it again.
A - Pours a nice golden body with some haze. One finger of fast fade white foam head. Mine leaves some lace. Golden beer as in a Molson Golden or a mass produced.
S - All grain aroma, hint of alcohol despite being a session beer, not much else. Ok with food.
T - Taste follows the nose - too much corn / husk / wheat, some bready yeast, & a bit soapy and medicinal. More of a pilsner or a helles bock than an English Ale.
M - Ok with food. a bit soapy and mouth coating in what should be a bright, lemony finish.
Forgettable. Soapy is the sin. Could be good with fish, sushi, (kind of a japanese lager feel) and apre-ski sessions and with ski pub food.
A beer like this, I turn into a black and tan.
